So the FMA question (since my last one got such a great and FUN response, thank you)

I want to have someone out to kill Edward, post series (different story obviously). This is a common theme for me (Ed, Riza, Roy, such assassin bait). I've used Kimbley more than once (and now...well...sob, KIMBLEY), I'm using relatives of General Raven in a story you haven't seen yet to bring down Ed.

So, anyone have any post Promised Day thoughts. Who might want Ed dead and would have taken 5 years to meticulously plan his death? (I figure at this point the homunculi are dead and gone since i don't see Pride or Wrath making it out of this) I was trying to avoid making an OC for this


ETA - Lots of prompts went up at halfamoon tv, books, anime/manga, have a look and celebrate the female characters.

Since you already had a Sciezca kitty, how about Elicia? Especially since she's puffy, there's a semi-resemblance.

Any of Dr. Goldtooth's relatives. Seriously, the man appears to have had his finger on the pulse of the country all along - if Ed helps bring it down, Goldtooth would want blood, right?

I was going to say anyone associated with Goldtooth or the old Brass (Hakuro, Raven, etc.). You may need to make an OC, but it wouldn't be a stretch at all because there are a lot of unnamed faces in that cabinet. Or, if you wanted something a bit different, what about someone from Lior who belongs to the religious sect that Ed upset with his Cornello exposure? It would almost be more of a ji-had thing in that case.

There's quite a few of them when we see their work on Bradley and the other candidates - so I reckon you could plausibly have one or two slip through the net and hole up in Aerugo or wherever. After all, they were looking for a lot of WWII criminals for years on end.

Oh goodness, Hakuro, the post-manga go-to villain. I went through exactly that with NSI - "should I make Roy's old-guard opponent Hakuro or an OC General? Oh sod it, it's not as if Hakuro has a particularly defined character anyways." But it's always him, isn't it? He's actually fairly bland in the manga for all the awful things people have him do in fic. XD

I actually meant Goldtooth's fellow scientists and creepbags, but a military old guard/state alchemist alliance could be cool. Villains are fun.

it's even Haruko in doujinshi (there is a particularly disturbing but compelling Roy one where he's sleeping his way up the ladder in order to get into a place of power and Haruko ain't pretty there)

I know, it's the fics where Hakuro pervs over Roy or Riza or Ed and pervy blackmails them somehow that get me. *shudders*

Btw I'm reading through the extracts you sent and I don't think Roy sounds that creepy - but he is friendlier and less abrasive with Ed in that scene than he sometimes is early on in the manga. Maybe just a quick tweak to get the tone more in line with what you're after? I'll send you some quick notes when I'm done.

yeah frankly there are some damn creepy doujinshi out there. Oddly the only Roy/Ed that I ever 'liked' (i use that in quotes. It was more compelling than me liking it) was a very pervy and disturbing one by Blue Flame

Oh good, that's good to know. I think Roy is a bit more worried than usual. I'll be looking forward to the notes.

I liked nebroadwe's way of capitalizing on Ed's penchant for trouble by writing a future fic with some of Bald's old coharts coming after Ed (and subsequently Winry). I should go poke her about that one.

As for names... is this kitteh a queen or a tom? That can make a big difference in naming conventions. (though not always)

Ee when they're fuzzy like that sometimes you almost have to sort of cop a feel for hat sticky outy part haha... Maybe you should go for something more generic then. Like Spot. Oreo? Panda? Jellicle? Harlequin? Magpie? Piebald?

If it was a boy you could name it Zorro, or some kind of bandit name.

It really has classic show quality bi-color markings though. 2/3 or so black, full black mask with white blaze.

Borders still has great manga selections. B&N, at least in the Columbus and Pittsburgh areas have slid horribly.
