And as for me, I finished that bloody Dawn/Spike story and it was not trauma free. Just as I was finishing it up, the computer froze for a second then came back but Word was gone...and I couldn't bring it up back. Then suddenly it reappeared and all was well. Now to get the thing edited before I leave for Fl.

When are you going to be down here? If you and ELD are around into Nov., there's a chance we can make it down. What good we'll do is questionable at this point, but it WOULD be nice to have a meal or some such...

Hah!! Haven't read the story yet, but I am responding to the computer freezing. I downloaded the new MS-XP service pack on Thursday. After 2 days of Hell, I finally learned from Dell that the new service patch ups my computer's memory into Quortoth ---- and now I'm using safe mode --- and no writing, no database work, only solitaire and mozilla until the new memory chips arrive and they're installed.

IOW - if you've gotten the service patch, that could be the problem. lots of luck on that one, petal.

Thanks. SOrry to hear about it. I own a Hell too, um excuse me, Dell. They have the worst customer service I've ever seen. Actually no I didn't put the patch on it. Twice I've fried my hard drive using the patches (luckily they were warrented) and the last time I did it, it screwed up my computer so much I had to do a systems restore to get rid of it. I've been seeing them pushing that patch (this computer trolls for ways to kill itself it seems) but given my XP track record I decided I could live without it

Like the Wes/Lilah fic bunches. Wes' despair comes through really well, even though he tries to sound hard and heartless. Lilah fetching him OJ and just laying in bed with him was rather sweet.

Couple of typoes - the one that stuck out was "remove" for "remote". *grin*
