that's the best word for how i've been feeling so far this year. Sort of to paraphrase Bilbo Baggins...like too little butter spread over toast. for the first time since i've been here going to work has become anxiety ridden. I don't like this.

I also notice the anxiety gets worse whenever i send a story in. Don't worry i WILL send it but it's...not comfortable for some reason.

I took the broadband and antenna into work and showed it to a coworker who also hates verizon. He didn't think it would fit either but we decided what the hell, and crammed the damn thing together...it's working. It IS faster but barely. OMG it's STILL not working right. So verizon told me to walk it thru the house to get a singla. It's a WINDOW MOUNT. I was too wiped today. I'll scan around the window but at least it's fast enough to you tube.

I had a weird dream last night. Mom and I were at Gram's going up the stairs. Mom was ahead of me, going into Grandma Guiseppina's room (my great gram, she lived upstairs) when I saw HUGE spider legs. I screamed 'Mom, there are tarantullas up there. Mom and I are both big arachnaphobes yet she catches two huge ones in her hands gleefully. I tell her to watch out for the leg hairs because they're ouchy then I tell her to bring them down so we can try out that recipe of Andrew Zimmern's. I want to see if they really do taste like soft shell crab. Then I thankfully woke the hell up.

i'm in the really gross portion of this illness. Mostly it's breaking up but lungs full of dead microbes have but one recourse. YUCK.

I think he was in Peru and the families allow the wasps to build nests in the house, so they can monitor how big the nest is for making soup....

Actually, it might not have been soup, but they did use the nest and the larva inside to make whatever it was they were cooking. It looked interesting and of course, Andrew loved it.

I've never been so glad of the fact that me and science are like oil and water and very unmixy (and yes, I know that is science but SHUT UP OKAY) as I am when I don't have to think of mucous as "dead microbes". Added ewww (now I won't be able to unthink it every time I have a cold, much like I always think about joke where the worst part about a heart/lung transplant is coughing up someone else's mucous -- or dead microbes. EWWWW).
