taking their lab final thought i should post and say i lived. I've had 2 hours sleep and I'm not thinking straight but I'm here.

Glad and relieved to hear you're still in one piece! But bleurgh, what a horrible night. I'm sort of impressed that you're in work, but thinking about it, I've taught with a 100+ temperature. That's teaching for you *wishes she had an 'I love teaching' icon.*

I've nearly finished up betaing the Havoc/Rebecca piece. I'm sure after two hours' sleep and feeling poorly you really really feel like editing it right now.

That's my point - in a lot of teaching situations no one can fill in for you at short notice, so you end up going in even if you're ill. ;_; Hence the need for the sarcastic Izumi 'I love teaching' icon. Yes, I wanted a sarcastic one. XD

Hopefully you have your sugar up in the "normal" range now and your temp starts to come up and you feel less foggy.

Low blood sugar is blech. I've had self-imposed low blood sugar and it is no party. Be careful standing up.

Sophie is the new one. I put in a call to the vet this morning. I know what the problem is, though: the short version is that she is positive for lyme exposure (like Bluebell) and I decided that while she wasn't symptomatic, that I would treat her for lyme just in case (since sometimes in dogs, lyme will go straight for the kidneys with no other symptoms until they are destroyed). Anyway, doxycycline is pretty hardcore. I was fully expecting nausea. I started her on probiotics several days before the start of the drug to try and prep her for it, but we're only a few days in and it's already really bad. I'm hoping they'll either cut back the dose or give me the dosage for some pepto. She's got 1.5 more weeks to go.

Azra is a toy and is the teensiest in the house at under 6lbs. ^_^ The cat is 7 lbs, and the bichons are both 15 lbs. Everybody is fully grown.

they're very good at cleaning out dirty wounds, debriding necrotic tissue and yes sterilizing it. Good stuff.
