Fandom nerding
May. 9th, 2010 12:29 amI'm listening to FMA Brotherhood. You know, I didn't mind Vic as Ed in the first anime but in this series, he's driving me insane. He's such a one-note wonder. Ed has two emotions, whiney-ass and screaming like a mad man. He's bringing nothing to the table. When I eventually buy the series, I'll be watching it in Japanese only...
I am NOT ready for the manga to end. You know when other favorites like Star Trek Next Generation, X-files, Buffy, Angel ended, i was READY for them to go. They had run their course. THey had gotten tired. FMA hasn't flagged one bit. Sure there's been slow chapters. That's natural. I know it's coming soon. I'm not ready to say goodbye (I think I know tomorrow's writing corner blog...)
Speaking of the Buffyverse, I'm still considering signing up for Summer of Giles. What would YOU just like to see me tackle with Giles? (reminds me, i need to get back to Hyperion's Son). Must check on the word count min. for this challenge.
And while I'm at it, what would like to see me try in Saiyuki? Anyone? Yes, I'm fishing for inspiration.
ETA - how ridiculously happy am i that i score 415,200 on Bejeweled Blitz right now on FB?

Date: 2010-05-09 02:03 pm (UTC)I was ready for Xena to end but now I miss it.
FMA has been so gorgeously written that I've gone the route of simply stopping. I can't make myself read it...I just can't. Then it will end. Waaah. (Did it with Inuyasha for a long time too, and now skittish with Loveless and even the most recent of Kuroshitsuji.)

Date: 2010-05-09 04:12 pm (UTC)You know this comment is sort of the crux of what I'm planning to write later. I do this with my own writing. I just stop. I don't want the story to end so I don't. It's an awful habit.
