stupid cell phone charger was in wtih the computer cord for my netbook.

I have found a new level of hell. Trying to find a hotel in Indianapolis. Either they're scummy or way out of my price range. Ugh. I've have literally put HOURS into this, like four. nothing should be this difficult. Is it too much to ask for that the hotel isn't overrun with bad smells, bugs and break ins and yet be under 150$?


I have reached the point of pentultimate frustration with my help_haiti fic. It's paralyzing as an author. Absolutely nothing seems to be working. if crying would help, i would. That's where I am with this.

Board pets has gotten freaking prohibitive. I'm THIS close to being locked into my apt by the fact I can't board the cats. Psychologists have noted this. Seeing more and more papers being written on the unhealthiness of us not being willing to/able to afford to board our pets. I wish my neighbors could just do this for me. THey're taking Kanda. It's like look i'll pay YOU to let them both in your place while i'm gone.

I've gone back and found the link for the first chapter of the help_haiti fic. I will try and read that tomorrow. If you have more written that you want to email me, I can try and see if there's anything I can come up with. I will try and read a bit each day as I find time. You will get through this.

If i could convince these hairballs they're indoor only animals, i could just have someone check them daily. If I tried that now, i'd come home to a shredded house. this place is so small too I'd feel sorry for them (as if they aren't going into a freaking crate for 12 days)

If your cats were strictly indoor cats, I'd say there's nothing wrong with locking them inside with sufficient food and water -- we've never had a problem, even with three cats, for several days. (If we're gone longer, we just have someone check on them every couple of days, make sure there's still food and water and check the litter.)

Of course, now we have a dog, so we're going to have to consider the boarding thing...

believe me i want them to be indoor only just so i COULD do that. Have a friend come and check on them and sit with them. Ling is getting there. Kanda is so much more dicey.

Boy will it smell though. OMG. Ling laid a few logs in the litterbox late yesterday. I was already in the pjs and said screw running this stinker to the dumpster. I should have. it still smelled the next mornign. Geez

god dogs are worse than cats. I'm looking at 10$/day for the cat. Dogs are twice that

Well, I didn't want a dog in the first place, but now that we HAVE one, we'll have to see about that. (He's a good sort, silly dog.)

Yeah, the dogs are registered for their 'vacation'. It's gonna be weird, all of us going in different directions at the same time (my fam). I need to remember to call to get the mail stopped.

{{{hugs}}} This is exactly why we never get to go anywhere. When forced to evacuate due to a hurricane, we usually have to live in our roadtrek at an RV park with SIX DOGS. Boarding is ridiculously expensive, and hotels are worse. I used to rent an apartment for what they now charge a night for a 'nice' hotel room.

Good grief. They go in and out anyway. It's not like they'd be a huge bother. Worst of all, since they are CATS, they SLEEP what? 23 hours a day?! (As I type, Cockleburr is wandering down the hallway, screaming, "HELLO? HELLO?" It's weird to have a cat that speaks English.)

i have no money to board the cats, hence theproblem. It doesn't bother me to board them. I'm not one of those people (My aunt is) It would have been more than airfare to board them both. THe neighbor is looking after one
