Evil_little_dog and I are in Indianapolis. It’s so hot all the animals at the zoo melted. No lie. There were little puddles of animals everywhere. It’s a nice zoo. It also has an attached garden. We went around the zoo for quite some time. We got to handle sharks (who knew sharks have an Aussie accent?). We lucked out and got to see both the sea lion/seal show and the walrus show. I felt bad for poor Pepper the Eastern grey seal. She was found after a storm that damaged her severely. She lost both of her back flippers. Diego, the sea lion, was a shameless food whore.
There were a lot of knowledgeable docents running around. It’s a nicely put together zoo. The white river gardens on the same site. It had a butterfly greenhouse which was rather small. However the outside gardens were lovely, raised, water, knot. Pretty stuff. You can just imagine the size of the picspam in your future once I get back to OH.
The Greek Islands restaurant was good. Introduced ELD to saganaki, which I love. How could you not love flaming cheese? Am rather tired now. Could have gone swimming but…
