It was in the low 70's all day and even cooler at night. This is my weather.

Went back down into granny's basement only to find a) I STILL have more shit than I thought there b) most of it is books c) the basement is leaking and that's a good thing I went down there.

I have no idea what to do with these books other than to give them away. I have more than I can handle. I have more than the FLOORS can handle. It's time to par down and let go but which to give away. I think I might just keep all the Native American books. Some day some library is going to get about a 100 books on the subject (all out of date and useless probably)

I DID pare down my organic hippie magazine collection from the last two years, ripping out the articles I can use and otherwise tossing the rest. I did come across an interesting article on tumeric being a cancer preventer/healer especially for breast and colon cancer. curry up those stews.

It was lovely here today. Low 80s, tonight will be in the low 60s.....AH good sleeping weather!!!!

If you weren't so far away I'd probably want to look through your book discard pile to add to my library!

My fiancee would love to dive into all those Native American books -- she's part Cherokee, and her mother was an official in the local tribe in southeast Missouri. Which helps explain why she hates Andrew Jackson so much.

I'm one-eighth Cherokee, if I have my math correct. My ancestors stayed up in the hollows of eastern Kentucky and Tennessee, while Emily's ancestors were forcibly moved to the Missouri area.

Ah, I see. My former stepdad was a western lover and had a collection of Time-Life books about the old west, including a very good one about native Americans. It was the only thing I liked about him.
