glue pad one, mouse zero.

BUt I do feel bad. I TRIED the snap kind of instant death for three nights. Caught him in the glue in under two hours. I hate the lingering death the sticky traps offer but I can't have mice racing around. I'm leaving out more traps. I think there are some in the kitchen judging by Kanda's reaction

(Kanda will be out and away from the traps obviously)

let's see if i sleep tonight

I prefer the snap traps for the same reason, but sadly they don't always kill instantly, either.

There are some sticky traps on the market that actually have some sort of anesthetic in them....it may seem like they linger and die...but in reality they are soon sleeping and just drift off to death that way...in their sleep. But the stuff doesn't kill whatever eats the dead mouse.

Far more humane than poison traps or the snap traps. Trust me I've heard a mouse SCREAM when a snap trap nailed it on the hind quarters. That happened when I was a teen, and I've refused to use the snap traps ever since.

the mouse was shrieking on hte glue pad. I fail to see it as more humane

It was shrieking because it was upset that it got caught in the stuff and couldn't get loose. You'd carry on too hon, all of us would. But they do eventually calm down as the stuff takes effect. You just happened to be right there when it happened.

Oddly enough when I have been on hand at the moment a mouse gets caught in the stuff...these mice don't yell or carry on. They just glare at me, and think dire thoughts of what they'd like to do once free. Yeah well...tough noogies cupcake you aren't getting loose. And I'll calmly put on welding gloves, pick up the trap...walk outside and toss it over into the field while saying "Here Kitty kitty kitty". Here come the cats....end of mouse. Cycle of life continues on.

We had a mice problem at my old house in Ithaca but the glue traps didn't catch anything. There's no good way to catch mice, maybe get a cat?
