Okay for the techies out there can downloading Yahoo Messenger totally Screw up my computer? I did it today and now every time I hit post to answer my LJ posts it would Beep and not post. I had to hit a second time. SIGH. Am I going to have to pull YM back off. And NOW I remember why I disabled that POS program in the first place. Every time I get an email it yanks me out of my word processing program to go look at the new email like I could give a shit. I KNEW I junked it because it was annoying. I had forgot how annoying.

Oh and yesterday (before YM) suddenly ANY and ALl geocities sites I hit want to install a language program into my computer. These are sites I go to all the time and this has never happened before. Any thoughts? I ran spyware and anti virals but nothing turned up out of the ordinary.

Nanomo...not as good today under 2000 words. Pooh. At least it's going though. I'm over 26,000 words but the counter thingie isn't working tonight.

The geocities thing has been happening to me too.
It's getting really annoying. I think it's geocities acting up because I know another friend with sites on geocities was saying something about them being down or not working properly.

I haven't heard of YM screwing up someone's computer like that. I have it on both my desktop and laptop and they still work fine. Does your system meet the requirements for the current version of YM? I admit, the popups when you get an email can be annoying, but it lets me just click okay and continue what I'm doing.

I got the geocities language thingy a couple of times yesterday too. Which sucks because both my site and the SunnyD Awards are hosted on Geocities.

Yeah YOUR site is one of the ones I was referring to. Aaronlisa says it's happening to her too so it must be GEO that's having kittens.

I've figured out YM's problems or at least most of them. Stupid program.
