cornerofmadnessi just spent three hours in a log cabin sewing a half dozen scarecrows. bet you can't say that. The sewing machine was older than me but at least it was electric (yes the cabins have been wired for that or we couldn't use them.) what a pain in the ass. It threaded different than anyone i had ever used nad the pressure foot didn't want to come up high enough to clear the material and thank god I borrowed a chair from the office because it would have been impossible to do this. There is so much work to do for this thing. Luckily i won't have to do it all but i'm now part of the 'core group.'

We'd like to welcome another year of aspiring novelists tolj_nanowrimo, a community for LiveJournal users who devote the month of November to crafting a 50,000-word novel. When you purchase the typewriter vgift (on the left), we'll donate 100 percent of proceeds (we'll cover credit card processing fees) to NaNoWriMo. Frank will also be sending participants who register for NaNoWriMo and post to lj_nanowrimo special vgifts. Lastly, we'll award 2,000 LJ Tokens to five randomly-selected writers who complete this literary odyssey for the first time and 2,500 LJ Tokens to five randomly-chosen writers who achieve this milestone again. Remember, you must register with NaNoWriMo and post your registration number in lj_nanowrimo to qualify for gifts and prizes. We look forward to reading your work!
Speaking of nano, I'm now getting monkey mind for a story that has absolutely nothing to do with nano. OMG won't. shut. up. And while it's a really cool set of scenes, they would be in the dead center of the novel of which i know nothing about. And the evil mom in this would make Tarran's mom look like mother of the year...(i should stop watching Deadly Women)
