I did decide that the 'beach' mentioned in one of the scenes IS the beach of a great lake and this will be a forest/mountain setting. Also, Mirron is a necromancer so this is what I came up with. Lame but there you have it.

On the main site, there's a "Search" function at the far right. Use that, click "Authors", and search for them. Then on their author page there should be a text link on the left that says "Add as Buddy" or something.

I have no clue who's on my buddy list at NaNo. Better go check. I also have no clue what my book cover would look like. Every book about fictional Japan has a woodcut image on the cover, so that's out. I like your cover, though.
