end of an era

I lost the caduceus off my Peanuts scrub top yesterday. It was one i bought in podiatric medical school. I am very upset about this. I didn't mention it yesterday, hoping to find it in my lab but no such luck. It's not expensive but it meant a lot to me. This was the first time I had it on in years. Sigh.

Still need help with a beta for my Soul Eater Ladyfest. ask if you want to know what it's about (I don't have the recipient on my flist but still...)

My concussion was a little worse today. My head hurts a lot. So I went to the bar to see what alcohol does to concussions. I'm a biologist. This is called research.

Say what you want about the Amish they make a mean donut. One of the students brought in two dozen as a bribe holiday gift. They're the size of two normal donuts stacked together and as a light as a feather.

And of course ever since hearing Once More With Feeling in class this week I can not get Rest in Peace out of my head (At least Marsters can kinda sing. SMG's singing still makes me cringe.) I should go dig out my bootleg of the soundtrack.

Roy is asleep on the futon. Kanda is under the futon being an ass. Outside is Kanda's newest half-brother. ANother feral I'm taming up. White and tiger striped. He's sweet one minute and bad the next I'm debating on his name (Sebastian? Soul? Edward? Sanzo?)





the christmas lights hung by someone with no sense of anything and later ripped down by the dog which also ate/knocked over a planter. I left it there all week. tonight it was cleaned up for me...

But then my nanna was a strict Protestant and an amazing baker of cakes, I think there's some kind of Protestant sugar loophole ...

Sorry to hear about the lost caduceus. Did you train twice, then? I've always been curious as to how you wound up with two specialities. I think the American system is a bit different to ours, training-wise.

And my vote for the little tiger, if he has a personality to match, is Soul or Edward.

And and I've only seen six eps of Soul Eater, but if you don't find a more informed candidate, by all means ping it my way.

I did train twice. It went like this. Undergrad: lost my mind, achieved a biology BS (bachelor of Science since I'm not sure you guys call it the same thing), a chemistry BS and was only one class shy of my English BA (this was in four years)

Went immediately to podiatric medical school (as opposed to regular medical school so I trained only on the foot and ankle), four years + 2 years of residency later I was out practicing medicine.

year 2000, I was kicked by a patient and ruptured the nerves in my hand.

Year 2001 moved in with evil_little_dog started back for another upper level degree in conservation biology (was going to be forensics but my hand hurt too much)

Hopefully I can tame little tiger enough to get him to a shelter

snort. it's 6 more eppies than ELD has seen. It won't matter the requestor wanted Kami, Maka's mom who is never ever seen. (she had two other requests, I picked the hardest). So if you've seen Spirit that's all you need and because I'm an ass, this is due on the 6th and I'm not done yet but i'm ALMOST done...
