What do you do with a half dozen half done Nano novels? That's the problem facing me now. Honestly, this year's nano will probably sit for a long while til i figure out how to make the female lead have a personality.

Until the Ice Breaks - This was my first and it has sat unfinished for years. I know the problem. It's from a shared universe evil_little_dog and since we can never manage to edit the FINISHED novels that come before it, I developed an 'apparently no one gives a damn' attitude. It honestly wouldn't take MUCH to finish it. It's nearly there. I just have the few chapters before the end and literally that is it

Splinters of Silver and Cold Iron - The werewolf YA story. I AM actively working on finishing this for my writers group. It'll surely be the first one I actually finish.

Riding with Strangers - The Liam/Hikaru dragon murder mystery set in FL. I DO want to work on this. Loose Id is looking for things along these lines. I'm fairly sure no conventional mystery publisher would work with something like this so I might as well just accept it as an erotic novel. I figure I'll add in the threesome nature to it with Hikaru/Lily and if I can't sell it to publishers that want both het and gay, then I'll remove it again. But I'm 30K under what I need and honestly it's SO hard to go back to a novella and puff it up.

Beneath the Torn Sky - The steampunk mystery from last year. I still futz with it but it's got a long way to go. I love the characters though.

The other nanos are so broken that they have to remain on the heap until I rescue the ones I think could be saved/sold/shared.

120833 / 175000 words. 69% done!

You're right, you _should_ finish "When the Ice Breaks." You're _so_ close to being done. "Strangers" might be easier to pare down than to puff up, but I suspect it's going to remain a novella no matter what (unless you can pack it with intrigue and red herrings, which might bloat it up to slim-novel size).

I'm still hacking away at this year's NaNo. In fact, I was just now working on it until I had to Google the Japanese name of a certain owl, and of course once I was online I ended up here at LJ and...

Bad me. Back to work.

i know i should. both Ice and Splinter are like 3-5 chapters from being done. seriously.

I've already added 5 K to riding. I think i can get it up to novel size (60K in the erotica world) without me even adding more than one red herring. i need more.
