Fate doesn't want me to have dinner
Dec. 5th, 2010 10:12 pmWell I do need to lose weight... I made a celebratory dinner a day early (tomorrow is the last day of class then finals). Only to find out my butter was rancid. ALL of my butter including the sticks still in the freezer (yes, i'll be looking for the receit) So that was ruined. Made due. Tried to supplement what was left with leftover gnocchi only to find a BONE in the sauce. At first I thought it was another tooth but no. So I'm up to two huge hunks of bone and two rubber glove tips found in my food in the last 6 years. God. Wish I could grow it all.
I did make salsa today though and the only thing I didn't grow was the onions and cilantro (well I did the latter but it died when i moved it into our crappy greenhouse)
I suddenly got sad. I don't know why. Well okay not sad. Just simply started crying and I'm fairly sure it's hormones. Then I saw one of the h.s. people i just reconnected with post about her mom having alzheimer's and my stuff didn't seem so bad. For that matter, talked to my brother too and he's just really sick with his ulcerative colitis. Poor Mom, between her mother in the nursing home and her two kids both pretty damn ill from incurable, chronic illnesses she has to be pretty stressed.
But in good news
12_daysofficmas is open. This is NOT JUST ANIME for all the other people on my flist. Any fandom you want (any new Holmes fanficcers? the only new show that I know people were into, how about some old school Buffy or Star Trek). It doesn't have to just be fic either but it has to be something YOU did, no reccs
and
bob_fish did a speed beta on my
se_ladyfest fic. THANK YOU. Wanna beta an anatomy test. Or how about writing it for me?
or so I assume since it was posted via phone. our walmart just doesn't get it.

what is it with my tub and cats? And yes it IS impossible to get lime scale off a cheap ass plastic tub so we learn to live with it....
Kanda loves Soul...

My sister once worked for a cleaning agency, and I think they used phosporic acid to remove lime scale. It was something a normal person couldn't get and shouldn't use.

Date: 2010-12-06 04:30 am (UTC)not surprised either by walmart
hahaha i could get acid from our lab no problem but it would probably eat this cheap tub

Date: 2010-12-06 04:35 am (UTC)...Wow. Walmart, you're doing it wrong! :\ They're going to get some terrible complaints about that, I'd bet.
12_daysofficmas looks fun! I'm tempted to participate. Thanks for pointing that out.

Date: 2010-12-08 12:09 am (UTC)that too. I was shocked the Baker Street crew that has kept SUCH a tight hold on all things Holmesian allowed it.
If anything it should have been Irene Adler as the wife

Date: 2010-12-08 01:13 am (UTC)Do the Baker Street bunch have any actual legal firepower, or has Holmes gone into the public domain? I'm sure reputable writers using the character would want Baker Street's blessing, but I don't know that they actually _need_ them anymore.

Date: 2010-12-08 02:44 am (UTC)They USED to have legal firepower but I think that may have ended
