I did do more work on my FMA big bang then realized I did the same thing I yelled at bob_fish for (not making an important phone call in NSI), rectified that one sort of (i.e. lamed my way out of it)

Um, at least you spotted it before you posted, unlike me? That is my favourite mistake I made, ever. The best part is where she looks at the phone booth and thinks, "hmm, phone Roy now? Nah, I'll just go to the sauna alone without any guns. I've never heard of such a situation ending badly." You were actually very nice and funny when you pointed it out. I was thinking of changing it in the Scimitarsmile version since I worked out an alternative as soon as you told me (she calls him, he's out getting groceries).

This also reminds me of a McSweeney's article about classic plots that are destroyed if the characters have access to cellphones. FMA was not mentioned, but Romeo and Juliet was. It's a fun game to play.

I think I'm going to fix it up on scimitarsmile as it's in the Green Lion New Voices contest, but I'll put a note after on the lj version about the original plot hole because it's such a funny/annoying one.
