First post of the new year

Happy New Year's everyone. The party was fun, just my cousins and my aunt and uncle. I had a nasty allergic reaction to the nitrites in the wine so I picked an alternative path. Mango nectar and vodka. yum.

Yesterday, I spent the day with my BFF from college. I wish we had more time to sit around and talk but it was nice. Exchanged gifts, more tea for me and I got her son a Harry Potter clue game I almost didn't want to give up. her 18 month old was hysterical. S warned me her little one was a drama queen. As S was packing up to go, she took away little one's sippy cut She gave her mom a look Stewie gives Lois then screamed. I don't mean a sob I mean body shaking, fist pounding, face reddening shriek of utter rage. Snort. drama queen indeed.

I went to Borders to trade a duplicate gift for store credit and new books. They didn't want to do it. 'I've never seen this book' (yeah cuz you know every book here). Finally they agreed. My brother can't seem to use a wish list right. John when I put i want Soul Eater 1-4, please don't buy 3 &4 just because they're closest to the top... There was so much new manga. I get them up there and they say oh it's buy 4 get one free. Back downstairs I got to get more.

This is the first New Years since 1994 (when i dragged home from Times Square) that I've slept in a house with no one else around. Usually i'm at mom's or with a friends but my cousins who were supposed to sleep here are staying in my room ad I'm down at grandma's with the cats. They're back to killing each other all night. Sigh.

I'm too tired for resolutions. maybe tomorrow. till then I'll watch the Criminal Minds marathon
