what can i say? I haven't exactly started the year off right but you've seen why not. It's rough. ah well. I'll do better.

I'm still considering my pen name so I can start up a twitter/FB/blog for my 'author's platform' (and will probably move this weekly post to that once I get it done).

Anyone know any good stock icon places to look at for writing related and/or pretty scenary icons?

I still need to start rocking the origfic_bingo cards since i now have Dec AND Jan's to complete

Here's a prompt from this prompt thing I wasted money on (and I do mean wasted since so many of them aren't that good butI thought I'd start sharing them with everyone.)

The prompt as written says Imagine you were born just a few hundred feet on the other side of the Mexico/US border. How different is your life because of this very slight change in the location of your birth

Frankly I'm not so freaking sure that this is going to help anyone write anything but let's broaden this. How would you/your character be different if you changed their birth location maybe exactly city life for country or vice versa. This sort of goes with the last fma_fic_contest prompt: growing up Resembol. How does where you grow up shape you?

I can't necessarily direct you to any "STOCK" icon places, however, if you google some images, and find some that you like, send them my way and I'll start throwing userpic sized icons back at you from them. Don't worry about what size they are. If I think they don't work out once they're cropped and sized, I'll let you see the result and you can decide to keep or discard.

Here's you a starter set.  I just did a google image search on the world "Writing" and fiddled with the images I found on the first page.  Tried to pick some different stuff, like a funny one, and a pretty one, and one that's like "ugh the pen is so heavy today" haha because you know, we all experience that.  Me... it's been about 3 years being that poor little writer down there.




P.S. Sorry for deleting the first of these. There were some artifacts in the code that I didn't catch and so I had to go and fix them where I could see what I was doing a little better. Here are your userpics back. Feel free to use them whenever you want.
