Just ASK him. As per her suggestions for ear mites, Soul got his first mineral oil in the ear drops today. He ran around, slammed into the table, slammed into the couch then rolled on the floor trying to get it out. I'm like dude, it was a DROP. You can relax now. He's having none of it. He's been glaring at me ever since.

of course enemytosleep is about to ruin my day when she announces that we should have X number of things accomplished on our fma big bangs. whimpers.

I did nothing but work on my lectures ALL DAY. But they're all updated. finally. I'm ready for tomorrow in theory. It'll be an adjustment. I haven't had to be at work at 8:30 since last April. shudders. I hate spring semester.

Oh I lied. I did something else. I wrote 300 words of original fiction. oh boy.

Poor thing.. his life is completely ruined. Thankfully, his hearing won't be. His ears will just feel weird for a bit. I hope he doesn't end up with too much scarring down in there where he's bloodied himself digging at them.

The good thing about mineral oil of course is that it won't hurt him if he digs at his ears with his hands and cleans his hands if a little oil gets on them. It'll just make his poop real smooth. hahaha.

A drop of oil in his ear? You monster. Soul's sufferings are so great, and nobody understands him. It's a shame kitties can't use lj, or he and Okkoto and Moro (who both got a thorough groom yesterday and hated it) could whine together about the things their cruel owners put them through.

I don't think there's an upcoming Big Bang deadline? It's just writewritewrite until March 15th. I'm nearly done with another chapter, but just heard I have a major job application (the one for my job going permanent) due Feb 4 and interviews on March 4? I've got to knock out a few things to get CV looking sparkly, so this may severely cut into writing time. I suppose another thing I could do is have a couple of mad writing days where I bash the whole thing out in rough form so it's off my plate?

They were in ecstasy. It's seriously the happiest I've ever seen them. I should give them this stuff when I'm grooming them.

OMG, that's so expensive! For a conference for profs? Man. Helen had to pay $1500 for the big GP exam she's doing next month, and that was horrific enough. She is praying she passes or she gets to pay the full whack again and we both have to sell a kidney.

hahaha i give them rotissiere chicken. I don't like dark meat and these chickens are dead cheap and bad for me but i get two meals from them and the cats get the ass end of the bird so it works

well that's for everything, air fare, hotel etc. I might just cut it back to 2 days instead of the 4. freaking hotel is nearly 1000 for the week but OMG it's GORGEOUS

Kitties were scared of my friends who came over tonight. I waved small piece of beef at kitties, then gave scraps to my friends. 10 seconds later kitties were eating out of their hands and sitting up on their hind legs for bits of beef.

Wow, that's still a lot. Obviously we are a small nation and so cheap train tickets in advance are the norm rather than plane. I guess flying across the country bumps the price up. And staying in a nice hotel?
