I can only give you insinght on Soul Eater Manga (though I have only read up to 5) any way. I think the manga is way better that the series, becauase it is completely insane, perverted and awesome! They where different clothes and uniforms...I find Blair very much cat-like, Soul much "cooler" and well... Dr. Stien is awsome as ever! Things happen differently too But you knew that! Good luck reading!

I've actually read all the manga online well starting with ep 40 which is where it diverges from the anime. I liked the anime.

But I hated the first several chapters of the manga. Far too much degrading to women crap in it which luckily DOES go away as it gets going. If i had seen them first I would never have gotten further than that.

Oddly both me and evil_little_dog had been warned on a few occasions when we had the manga in had not to bother with it because it was bad. Now I don't always take the advice of random strangers but paging thru the art and reading a bit in the store I agreed. We were stunned to see how popular it was at the last con we went to so I gave it another try with the anime and I loved that so I went back to it. I really don't like the first half dozen chapters but luckily they don't define the manga overall

Now that you mention it there was a few things in the first ones that I read that i didn't like either. And strangly enough the anime is pretty good, like all the other series (you know the ones where the manga is better that the the anime) I guess I could say that Soul Eater differs. My son actually loves that show...which is strange, but he did enjoy Fullmetal (particulary Edward because they both share the short-tempered, short height) issues.

yeah the anime is good, the manga is better but it took until he got to about vol 3 before most of the ripping our partner's clothing off stopped happening (though Crona seems to suffer this a lot even in later issues)

Also the art got so much better as it went.

The only thing I've read/seen is 'The Book of Eli'. Its been several weeks since I've watched that movie but I did enjoy it. Its usually hard to go wrong with Denzel anyway but I thought he did a nice job with his character in this.
