nobody's best day ever

I don't know what's wrong with me but I have a variation of burning mouth syndrome going on that started last night. It's not burning per se but numb with a terrible metallic taste. It's annoying me like mad. It's like sucking on unflavored chloroseptic, you know that 'metallic coin and I'm kinda numb but not enough to get rid of a sore throat' sensation. Diabetes and the meds can cause it, so can vitamin deficiencies or kidney and hormonal issues or it can happen just because. It's driving me to distraction (and of course it could be a bad tooth too)

I slept like crap. Not only did i have a river raging through it all, I woke up at 3 am to get sick. No discernable reason why. ALl day food was a bad thing (dinner got better). I was so tired, I came immediately home and took a nap. I do not nap. Hell my cats were confused since I have never done this since they've been in my house. The nap helped a little. sigh.

It's making getting anything done difficult.

oh well enough of me boo hooing. I'll get right to the picture since I did nothing else of note, oh wait, kitty stuff.

first I put down a HUGE line of catnip for all three. Soul LEAPS on it, burying it under his body so no one gets any but him (note to self Soul gets catnip in another room by himself) Kanda gets pissed eventually because I hear Soul screaming. Kanda has both front paws around Soul's neck and both back paws in Soul's back and he's bending Soul backwards in a C. All that clean rug? Yeah fur everywhere. Then I was playing jingleball with SOul. I threw the ball but he lunged at the same time and I hit him so hard he went flying, poor thing. He didn't want to play jingleball after that.





Actually this is just at the start of Orpheus road which is the other crossroad off of I=35 (i live on the other). You can see this house from the road. It went abandoned about a year and a half ago. I dont' know why there was no attempt to sell it. it seems in decent shape

I know. granted it was his own fault but still I feel bad for the little bugger.

it is a shame.I'd have etaken that house even if it was closer to the highway than I'd want (and I suspect there are more sinister reasons for it to be abandoned)

We have a house like that on our block. It was a crack house (and perhaps worse) years ago and it's never really stayed in anyone's hands since...

Our cats are behaving oddly today, too. The lowest on the totem pole suddenly became aggressive and blocked the basement steps for the other two - which is where the food and litterboxes are.

Oh yes, the weather has been just lovely. I woke up with a weather migraine this morning at 7(!!! Waaay early for me) and got to enjoy a huge, hailing thunderstorm. And two of my bedroom walls are outside walls. I was exhausted all day and actually took a nap, which is something I never do either. Generally, when I fall asleep, I'm out for at least six hours.
