12 hour days wear you out

okay technically I only worked 11 of them. The other hour was spent bleeding into tubes to make the doctor happy on monday. Well,he won't be happy since we all know my blood work won't be good. BTW, Phleb, it's not good patient care to treat the patient like they aren't even there while you bitch to your coworkers about how your idiot husband took your money and your ATM card this morning. I would have forgiven that if you hadn't gotten snotty with me when I told you no tape to my skin. I'm allergic thanks for asking.


I had to talk penises today. You just know that class was rocking low.

Me - why do women get UTI's more

class - short urethras

Me - right. Males who get UTI's often have some underlying medical condition

Class - are there other causes

Me - age can play a role or if you're having to cath yourself regularly or playing with soundings.

Me - okay let's talk scrotum. (Meanwhile the guy in front's eyes are getting bigger and bigger as he scrolls thru his lap top and his bald head is getting redder and redder. The girls around him are leaning over to see what he's seeing, half the class is on the floor.

As for the rest of the day, stress city and yes all because of the same person (and I was not the only one howling for her blood this time)

I hate Lady Gaga. I think she sounds just like Madonna in the 80's with no originality at all and a voice that makes me want to throw my head back and howl. TOday I came across this hysterical send up Rips off Madonna So apparently the new music has gotten a whole lot of people thinking she ripped off Madonna and she is taking it well, read it for yourself.



Day Twenty-One: Favorite female character screwed over by canon



Really, I'm not sure I can think of anyone else who got so screwed over by canon. I loved Tara. I was iffy on her being Willow's girlfriend at first more because Willow never showed any signs of being bisexual before this but I liked Tara and quickly grew to love her as Willow's lover. She's more quiet and less snarky than most of my choices but no less smart and resourceful.

I would have been content if she chose to just leave the show, disappointed but okay with it. To have her die needlessly really burned me up. (and I was angry on Amber's behalf when I met her at a con and she was telling us about the network being on her case for being overweight and couldn't help wondering if that played a role). I got even angrier when Willow ended up Kennedy.


So I heard ALL this barking all night last night and thought oh great it's the neighbor girl's new schnauser, the bark machine. Well when I left this morning, it turned out to be 2 puppies. One black lab with fluff in him (like golden or maybe irish setter or collie) and one reddish brown fluffy one. I had two thoughts a) the neighbors got puppies and are letting the courtyard watch them b) someone abandoned puppies.

I got back tonight and the black one was gone but red is still there. I call him Breda. Turns out my neighbor DID bring them to the courtyard. Some asshole dropped them on the highway and she rescued them. One of the other neighbors had a friend who scooped up the black one. She thinks someone might come for Breda in a day or two or else we'll take him to the no kill rescue in Zaleski.





seriously isn't that the sweetest face? I'd keep Breda if I had a lifestyle conducive to dogs which I currently do not. Don't ask what's around his neck. Hillbilly collar/leash
