Mother Nature can stop with the Earth Day Fireworks any time now

I didn't sleep all last night. Went to bed at 2 AM, at 330 an absolutely vicious storm rolled in, one of the worst in years with lightning so loud it literally bounced me upright in bed with the adrenaline dump. Then again at 5 then at 7 and I gave up.

Tonight we had a dual birthday party for two of my friends, H &W in athens. Technically their days are earlier in April but this was a better time for all of us. H is the one who beat me out to go to Wales. We all went to Zoe's in Athens. Dinner was very pricey but it was very good. It's not like I do this all the time. Also, there goes the diet....

But how could I resist Monthy Python's Holy Grail Ale? It was good. Appetizers was ahi rare seared tuna then came an apretif of orange-glazed radishs on toast points, dinner was Amish raised chicken pan roasted in a cream wine sauce and served over asiago-stuffed gnocchi on a bed of cabbage sprouts, another apretif of cabernet infused butter on toast then dessert, raspberry creme brulee.

The tuna was melt in the mouth delicate. The gnocchi were good though the chicken was bland. I feel so odd any more. Everyone's cleaning their plate and I have these stomach issues. I took two bites of chicken. It's here with me and I'm going to make it into a chicken stew which will give it more flavor. The creme brulee was a mouth-gasm.

However getting there was a nightmare. It deluged. I almost pulled over. H was so surprised I could handle it (You could FEEL it pushing my car off the road) she told everyone in the restaurant about my mad driving skillz.

Breda got a home so yay for that

Mom called me at 11 pm tonight. Hey, didn't you have a golden snake upper arm bracelet. Your cousin wants one from prom.

me - yeah but that was 20 years ago in Waynesburg

Mom - you never throw out anything. where is it?

Me - probably in the drawers at YOUR place. It's not here.

Mom - you look to be sure

me - the snake belt from 20 years ago is here (worn today as a necklace since I've gained a person since then) but not the bracelet. The two snake necklaces and the snake ring are here too. Not the bracelet.



Day Twenty-Three: Favorite female platonic relationship



Technically I'm talking Jadzia Dax and Quark here but the only images coming up were two grainy is that even them screencaps so...just have a picture of Jadzia. I really enjoyed Jadzia and Quark was just absolute love. (never forget mom seeing Principle Snyder and saying, wow, he's better looking as Quark, how's that possible?)

Them playing Daubo together always made me grin






I pulled down THREE blankets off the back of the couch and made a nest. Aren't I good?

I am praying so hard for rain today. And yet I'm not optimistic at all about getting any as is proof by the way I'm going to straight iron my hair today for going out to the ranch. lol

I've been thinking that all week about this upcoming Sunday at Wyatt's parents house. There goes the diet! Cause there's no way I'm not having some oven baked ham with all the fixings and pie afterward. Holiday and party calories don't count!!

Jadzia makes such wonderful platonic relationships with men. She was always so great with Quark. lol Armin Shimerman isn't the best-looking guy without make-up, and there isn't any make up quite like Ferengi make up.
