I did laundry only to have the laundromat machine NOT spin out my clothing. I had to hand wring it then just dry it forever so that ate up most of my day. It was a bitch to park too since the Baptist church hosts socceer on Sat. (will remember that in the future) and all the asshole families parked in the laundromat AND the library lots messing up business.

Spent the time talking to the librarians and wondering where OHSHC #15 was. It was suposed to be on hold for me. SH and I looked everywhere for it. Later as I was leaving a tween had it in her hands. She even offered to let me have it but I thanked her and let her have it first. Wouldn't be right yanking it out of kid's hands (even if it was supposed to be for me)

I did stop at Walmart to get plants. Got rosemary, a merlin strawberry and a Mr. Stripey heirloom tomator.

Soul had himself a very bad morning. I kept telling him to stop jumping in the shopping bag but does he listen? No. Naturally he ends up with it over his head and shoulder and this one has heavy hemp hands. He freaks. Blinded b y the bag, he jumps on the futon then faster than I can even more, he leaps and hits the door 6 feet off the ground. Crashes down, terrified Kanda who thinks suddenly all the bags have come to life with the express purpose of eating cats. Soul crashes around the living room, ripping the bag in half. The handle is still around his neck. He flies back into the computer room and i shut the door so i can corral him. I finally get him under the desk and free him from the man-eating bag handle. His heart was thundering. Maybe now he'll listen when I say no...yeah who am I kidding?

I got some of my tomatoes and herbs planted today. The new neighbors from across the courtyard offered to help me out since I'm pretty handicapped with this arm. I'm not sure what's the deal. Older white woman, older Africian American woman, I assume they live together and three biracial young kids. I'm not sure they're all crammed into the apt or if those are the grand kids and they babysit all day. The little boy likes me but he keeps shooting me with foam darts. He tells me to run. I'm like you're joking right kid? They might deal with the garden while I'm gone (they asked to help) and Roy is already mooching from them.

I called The Fairmont Empress hotel today to see if I could extend my stay one night at the con rate so I can actually have a two-day vacation (I.e. I'm spending a full week). I could have flown up there and spoke to them in person for as long as I was on hold. But I have it done up. ANd now thanks to being on hold forever, I know that they have a century old tea room that the Queen of England has taken afternoon tea in (watch this add 100$ to my bill), and the Bengal has a curry buffet. So it's set. I'm registered for the con. I have the room. Let's pray I can find a flight. I should be in Victoria in a month.

My shoulder is killing me. The muscles are in such a spasm it's beginning to yank my collar bone out of alignment.

Day Thirty: Whatever you’d like!

You know what I write a lot. WHen I went over this on FFN, I had 125 Buffy and Angel verse stories which naturally does NOT included the naughty ones. I think I've earned the right to toot my own horn. I tried to pick out a collection of stories. A lot of them do have ships. Some are naughty. I tried to pick out things that were not 100% porn. I tried to get ones with plot. SOme are longer some are not. I'll put them up here by fandom. I DID note I don't write all that many female point of view stories but here are some of them.

Buffy and ANgel verse: (most of these go to FFN)

1 Flowers in Snow (Dru)

2 Deeper than the Top Notes (Faith)

3 Memory of a Lost Paradise (Buffy)

4 A Tattered Heart (Buffy and Faith)

5 Blood Drops on Rose Petals (Dawn)

6 Lure of the Moon (Dru)

7 Walk a Mile with Sorrow (Dawn)

8 Eidolon (Harmony)

Fullmetal Alchemist

1 Brief Tragedy of the Flesh (Riza)

2 Chance Encounter (Winry)

3 Expectant
(Riza)

4 Forbidden Fruit (Riza)

5 Gilded Cage
(Winry) (erotica and in retrospect as much as I really like this story and plan to continue the series, I'm not sure it truly fulfilled its mission on [livejournal.com profile] fma_fuh_q)

6 Perdition
(Riza)

7 The Power of His Hands (Olivia) (erotica)

8 thoughts on War time (Riza)

9 Good Impressions (Chris)

10 Wicked Age (Chris, Pinako)

Ghost Hunt
Fox Hunt (Mai)

Saiyuki (believe it or not yes I managed a female centric story there, more than one really)

Unshaken
(Kanzeon)

I'm hoping the Prince will do me will. KP also bought a batch of Rutgers, which are good for canning and eating.

The rain is making my tomatoes at Mom's house very happy, BTW.

If there's clay in the ground, they seem to really like that. And manure. But most things like manure.

They'd be in the shade over there, wouldn't they? The door isn't on the southern side of the building?

Dickens did the same thing with a bag within his first week with me. Scared him so silly he expressed his anal glands (phew!). I never let him have bags.

All bags come to life... hee hee

Nothing like a panicked cat rocketing around your apartment to liven up your day.

I'm growing Solar Fire, Golden Girl and Hillbilly tomatoes this year. They're already five feet high and flowering, because if you don't plant by February and get flowers by April down here it'll turn too hot for the plants to set fruit. Solar Fire was developed by the University of Florida especially to set fruit at high temperatures, so I have great hopes for it as a producer. Golden Girl was a freebie, and I know nothing about it beyond the fact that it's (presumably) a yellow tomato. Hillbilly is an heirloom variety developed in the mountains of West Virginia. I got it to amuse my dad, who was also developed in the mountains of West Virginia. Unlike the two hybrids, which already have wee little proto-fruits on them, Hillbilly has wasted all its energy on growing very tall and lanky and has yet to even flower. This is exactly why people developed hybrids (scowls at Hillbilly). They may not be as tasty as heirlooms, but they're a lot more productive.

I'm also trying rosemary, which I've very optimistically planted in a huge pot. Odds are the humidity will kill it by August, but it's worth a try.

I used the solar fire last year and it was really good but couldn't find where i put up the seeds.

Heirlooms ARE a pain in the ass. They're what I'm specializing in lately and honestly, they don't make much fruit.

I too have bought rosemary and I too will manage to kill it
