May. 15th, 2011 09:46 pmTime for more sharing once again. Yes. I'm still on the plateau. And unless cleaning counts, no I haven't exercised like I should (and yet I still managed to maim myself). Share your joys and woes, exercise tips and recipes. You know the drill.
Yes another recipe from me (You're probably thinking this food is not helping her any so why should I...)
Shang Kimchi
(summer or raw kimchii)
14 cups @ 2 pounds of napa cabbage chopped.
3 tbs kosher salt
21/2 tbs Thai chile paste
1 tbs toasted sesame seeds
2 tbs minced garlic
2 tsp sesame oils
1. Place cabbage and salt in a large bowl, tossing to combine. Weight down cabbage with another bowl and let stand at room temp. For @ 3 hours, tossing occasionally. Drain and rinse with cold water. Drain again, squeeze dry.
2. combine cabbage, sesame seeds, and remaining ingredients. Cover and refrigerate at least 4 hours before serving. Yield @ 3 cups.
Serving size @ ¼ cup, 19 calories, 2.5 g carbs
NOTE – If you can’t find the paste, Sriracha sauce (the hot sauce in a squeeze bottle you see in Asian restaurants)
