the drive wasn't bad at all. Brought back memories (I used to live in Columbus).

The surgeon gave me all kinds of cool shots of my surgery. whee. I'm looking good. finally got the frakking steri strips and stitches out of my arm pit. I'm allowed out of the brace for extended periods now. See surgeon again in 6 weeks. He's pleased with my progress but my gross fingers scared his PA. She thought I had gotten infected and was peeling skin.(see last night's post)

Then they informed me Red White and Boom was on today. OH HELL. That ties up all the major downtown roads that I needed to go on. I still needed stuff to eat. I get to Trader Joe's like a speed demon, whipping around the store. So much for going out to eat in Columbus. I pit stop in B&N (no manga worth knowing about) and race for home.

I stop for tex mex in Chillicothe and notice we have a TJ Maxx there. I never noticed it but i'm not usually up that end. That's not good that I know it's there.

My plants are thriving. The cats are alive. Kanda and Roy wanted me so bad. Soul was like go piss up a rope. It took him an hour to forgive me. I got half unpacked but the arm hurts so I stopped.

Star Wars is on. I had a thought. I was watching 50's SF/Horror on TMC lately. It was only 21 years after the Blob for instance but my god what a jump. Even then I thought 50's movies looked cheesy. Yes we've improved since SW but even 30 + years later it doesn't look cheesy and that is cool. I'm still in love with this movie.

ETA - Mom called. Rogue was all over my room when I packed (unusual for him) he is now on my bed refusing to move

Star Wars does hold up well, amazingly enough. They did a lot of good work with what they had.
