I learned doing laundry was much harder than expected. It is very hard to not reach for something so i put on the brace and I still found myself trying to lug things. My arm is killing me and my good arm is bruised and I'm cranky. crankier yet that the rug still smells like cat pee after the wash.

Either they pooped where i can't find it or used their anal glands. I'm getting somewhere beyond frustrated. The vet never called back so I called her miffed. Well thanks for the tip, I'll get right on crating them. I own no crates. They are TERRIFIED of crates which is why I didn't put them in the kennel in the first damn place. I guess i could separate them and see if it really is who I think it is but then what?

I DID empty the litterbox (the second one is brand new and this started before i got it, so it's not that). Do you have any idea how hard it is to do that one handed. I scrubbed it all out. I also put food right over the place they keep peeing. I figured that might stop them from doing that and Soul ate all the food immediately. WTF? Dude it smells like pee.

I finally got some vitamin E oil to rub on them. Why in the world is the one on my back black? It's like a gross linear tattoo and I'm half afraid it it, that it absorbed betadine or something. The one at the apex of my shoulder hurt like hell to massage. The one in the armpit is lumpy as hell, it's gonna be a long time and a lot of oil to make these happy

It makes me very sad to think that this is the last Space Shuttle mission. I so wanted to go on the shuttle. I was over the moon (no pun intended) when they selected a civilian to go up. Yes, she died tragically but that never stopped me from hoping they'd do it again. I even studied space medicine for my research papers. Ah well, it was a nice dream.

I am impressed with my day lillies this year. too bad the rest of my garden is so out of control I can't get a good picture.

I can not seem to get in front of my work load nor do I care and that's when I know the depression is getting me.

Ate the left overs from a meal I knew might be an issue for my stomach. It was fine yesterday. Today, not so much.

My horoscope today said my health will be an issue today. Gee, you think?

sekrit message for ELD (which I keep forgetting), Shifty's is for sale.

and THANK YOU, to the new people on the original fiction filter. I'm glad to have your support and I appreciate it.

WE HAVE TO GO AND BUY SHIFTY'S.

I told Mom about your daylily seeds. We might be willing to make a trade, you know. Black hollyhocks for daylilies.

Sorry to hear of the should thing and your back...that must be a pain (no pun inteneded). The cats...well um yeah I would aggree that is gross, but I think we all have our fair share of animal stuff. My friends cats are peeing on the floor and they are litter trained...so yeah I guess they can be unpredictable. The day lillies, I would love to see, ELD posted pics and the are so pretty. I love her orange and purple ones. Hope things look up dear!

If you do get an enzymatic cleaner, put some of it in the wash water with the rug (test for colorfastness). I wish you luck. It's hard to dissuade a cat from peeing in a particular spot when he/she chooses to go there.

Yowch for the arm. I hope the vitamin E helps.

i'm going to have to get the enzymatic cleaner and right now it's not jsut one spot, they're chosing the whole house to pee in. I'm not entirely sure what I'm going to do if I can not correct this behavior.

thanks

I have a very simalar cat problem. Oddly it's worse during hockey season (maybe they are jelous of the tv?)

What I do is an enzimatic cleaner and THEN after it dries I go over it again with rubing alcohol. But test first. I can do that becasue my floors already need to be redone.

oh geez, this is my first time in 30 years of owning cats to have this problem.

do you suggest any particular cleaner?

I'm more a dog person and I think the cats that grvitate to me are... well - defective somehow.

I use Nature's Miracle, becasue that is what we used at the vet I worked for.

snort, that would be bad. I'm more a cat person than dog (I like dogs but my lifestyle is better suited to an animal that usually takes care of itself)

oh i've heard of that one thanks

The Tiny One is emotionaly dependant (I think she is the one who pees during the hockey season) and the Stinky One is not self cleaning (on the up side she dosn't mind getting in the shower) and is quite mean. Everyone but me is frigtened of her.

They wee both wild cats - well the Tiny Ones, mother was, she came to us pregnant. Her mother must have told her that people abandon you.

both of mine were ferals as well. Kanda has tamed up beautifully (But i fear he is the culpruit) Soul is more skittish luckily neither are mean

The Tiny One is shy. And the Stinky one is fine with me, it's just other people who come into her space and touch her. I didn't even notice she was mean until we went to get her spayed and she tried to eat the vet Tech. but she already had the Red Folder (the warning that 'this cat is mean!)

At least the rose-less rose bushes look lush, not scroungy and lanky like mine. Roses hate summer down here. The things in the hanging planters look pretty. Are they pansies? Violas?

I didn't see the last shuttle launch, either. We're under an apparently permanent blanket of storm clouds here.

definitely healthy. My roses are all june bug eaten. sigh.

Pansies I believe

aw too bad

From: [identity profile] silvrethorn.livejournal.com
The blue-and-yellow pansies in those planters are Morpho pansies. I knew they looked familiar but couldn't call up the name. I see them for sale in my seed catalogs every spring, but never buy them. I went for the gaudier and more bizarre Karma Blue Butterfly this year, which sometimes, given its color mix, comes out brown. (Morpho, Blue Butterfly--yes, there's a bug theme here.)

From: [identity profile] cornerofmadness.livejournal.com
yes, a definitely bug theme. i don't know much about pansies. i rarely get them
