Right, like Florida. It was far too hot and humid today (we have the advisory of stay the hell indoors people, today). I ended up wearing a t-shirt since a lot of my dress shirts are at least partially man made fibers and too much sweat would be bad on that exposed stitch. By 430 the storm set in to spectacular levels (as in my neighbors were out watching it roll in). It did cool it off some.

I have a mystery package at the post office. I wasn't expecting anything since it should be too fast for the books to be here. Hmmm.

product announcements - I tried Trader Joe's butternut squash triangoli's and their carbonara ravioli. The former was very good especially with browned butter sauce and grumbled honey-goat cheese (also from TJ's). The carbonara was filled with half mushy peas and lumps of ham. it was gross.

I did make my very first pulled BBQ beef. It came out good with one exception. I have no crock pot so I stuck it in my electric skillet which evaporated the beef broth too fast. I renewed it and made it too salty. Should have used water.

Why the tell is EVERYTHING on monday night? The closer, Warehouse 13, Eureka, the new Alphas thing (I'll give it a try) and Rizzoli & isles for those who didn't abandon ship last year like i did.

Today the therapist only did myofacial releases (something else I wanted to use in my nano this fall for my one armed character). She's like you're nothing but trigger points. Yeah, I know and now every damn thing hurts.

I grew up in Jacksonville, and yes, Florida in July is AWFUL. Similar to May, June, August, and September. I live in the midwest now, and whenever I tell people I'm from Florida, they all say "Why did you leeeeeeeave?" BECAUSE IT SUCKED.

Oh wow another really nicely framed shot.

myofascial release huuuurts, but it really helps once those knots unbind. My chiro uses it on my shoulder. My!Winry uses the technique on Ed when his shoulder knots up on him. (well on other patients too but hahaha I don't see them as much.) It does not make him happy until she releases it. She also makes him go to the chiro to have his hip realigned. He hates that worse.

You know of course that we'll have an argument about the weather! I love Florida BECAUSE it's hot and rarely cold. It is warm out though... I have never understood the whole "Stay indoors" idea, since it's actually warmer here upstairs than it is outside. I have a little cross-breeze through the windows though. That's good. I can see "Stay in the shade, stay well hydrated" but "stay inside" doesn't make sense to me at all. I only wish I felt well enough to just chill outside. Unfortunately... things are still not working as they should. Bleh.

it definitely hurts and what hurts worse is when the muscles reknot since i have never had them NOT do that every time I got thru this or do it on myself

mostly because it can be deadly to be out in heat like this (that's why ELD's dad was told to get out of FL for good) even with precautions, especially as we age

Well, I understand the dangers of dehydration, heat exhaustion, sunstroke and all that. I've had heat exhaustion and mild sunstroke before as a child. but it's not any cooler in the house than it is outside. As I said, just the opposite. It's warmer in this room than it is out on the porch. Both are in the shade. I think when they say "Stay inside" that they're assuming everyone has and can afford to use air conditioning and that's just not the case.

It's just a matter of what you can tolerate I guess, and I know that heat is really hard on you. For me, cold is almost if not as devastating.

I wonder what color those roses are when they bloom? I'm assuming all the same color, so it's a solid arch of white, or pink, or yellow (I rarely see red roses planted in arbors like this--too garish?--so odds are they aren't red). Yes, very sad that you didn't see them in bloom.

It's been hotter in Ohio than it's been in Florida for the past several days. I think some kind of high-pressure system piled up on top of you. It's hitting 100 in KY and TN, which is definitely abnormal. BreyerFest is this weekend, too. It's going to be a bitch. I'm kind of glad I'm not going this year.
