Vaffanculo!
Dec. 10th, 2004 06:14 pmWhat a day. I had to drive through very wet snow the kind that hits the windshield like mash potatoes to get to the office only to find the desk drawer locked (I'm not sure my boss even has a key for this!) Sigh. Here's hoping I don't get blamed. Luckily i found another key to turn on the gas in the lab. We were in there for hours (finals are next week). I didn't mind that actually.
I get home and shovel that snow wishing my brother was around. This is the perfect wet snowball snow that you can really pack and hurl and have your brother run to mom 'she HIT me with a snow ball' totally oblivious to the fact that the only reason younger siblings are born is to be hit with snowballs by the older silblings. I get the walk cleared and it begins to snow again. I lie in the snow and sob for a while and waddle back inside. My leg hurts.
I go and look at the leg. that's where the vaffanculo comes into play. It's been a long time since I had long strips of nonpalable purpura running up and down my legs but there they are, idiopathic leukoclastic vasculitis. In other words for reasons unknown my white blood cells have decided my blood vessels are foreign and are eating them. Call for a pack of steriods so it doesn't start happening in my brain or heart. Swear some more. Contemplate going back out in the snow.
Sit down and realize that I NEED some beta's because one of my regular's is on vacation and another is moving and two of my betas are the recipients of the stories I'm currently writing SO does anyone want to beta one of these stories for me
1) a B/A thing that doesn't want to behave
2) a Connor/Faith thing I have yet to pull out my butt and have like 10 days in which to do it
3) a Connor/Angel thing that's at least half done.
THANKS
Oh and if you don't hear from me you know that the 60-70 shrimp package I bought at Wal-Mart for 4$ was not my wisest food purchase...

Date: 2004-12-11 12:26 am (UTC)Angel at the mall? Why does this crack me up? (Truthfully, I would think malls would be hard to handle for vampires. Sensory overload.)
One very minor typo:
How would you feel if I did Zoe what you planned on doing to the young man Amaya wrote about?”
you missed the word "to".
So, how long before the next chapter? You're killing me here.

Date: 2004-12-11 12:36 am (UTC)Yeah malls give ME sensory overload so I can imagine Angel there. But we know he shops. Just ask Cordy.
Nope Leda is pure sociopath. Nothing really redeeming about her. (not that I intended that but there you have it).
It'll be a while. Sorry. See my above impassioned pleas for betas. I have three stories to do in the next ten days. I'm so nuts.

Date: 2004-12-11 01:34 am (UTC){{Dana}} plus some virtual hot chocolate (not with mini-marshmallows; better: with real whipped cream) laced with cuarenta y tres, huge chocolate chip cookies, and a lovely DVD of Chocolat.
Feel better now? .....good.
and, if you need a beta, I can do it this weekend, but not next. Finals start next week and that way? lies madness.

Date: 2004-12-11 01:39 am (UTC)But I like your virtual hot chocolate. Boy that does sound good.
Okay, the only two I'd have done enough to send to the beta this weekend would be the ANgel/COnnor or one scene of the Buffy/Angel. Which would you like and THANK YOU (My finals are this week coming. I spent all day in lab today watching my students and my boss's students panicking over bone lab + dealing with his microbiology students)
