It was raining in my class room
Jul. 21st, 2011 09:40 pmOr might as well have been. what Gods did we offend? Wood Hall is so old they don't even bother teaching in it in the summer since the a/c is sub par and the English/Psych classes are held in Bob Evans Farm Hall but it's a/c died on monday so everyone is in MY building and today the a/c died.
It's 97 degrees, heat index 110 and the humidity was 70% (see
wildrider we can rival you for summer suckiness if we try hard) and the cinder block held that moisture. The cinderblocks and that moisture were cold, ditto the cement floor. The walls were weeping, the floor welling up. My podium looked like someone spilled a drink on it and I had to keep making paper dams around the computer to keep it dry. Every student nearly slipped on their ass. It was joyous. I made them stay all 3 hours while they laughed at my hair progressively getting curlier and sweat dripping off me like I was a ham in a smoker.
My arm is now covered in kinesiotape. OT used a taping for 'unstable shoulders' on it. This stuff is really cool (my brother has used it on me before and I used to use it on patient's feet). You could actually see the inflammatory fluids moving once the swollen deltoid was taped up and out of the way.
Feliway came. The box was CRUSHED. Luckily the feliway was okay (I'm not so sure about the flea medicine). I put it in. Soul has regressed even further. He didn't even come when I pulled apart the chicken and he was out in the living room with Kanda until I opened the door so it is definitely ME he doesn't want. And he shat in this computer room again. I can smell it but I can't find it. Head desk. we'll see what this feliway does but honestly I'm not holding out much hope. I can't have my apt smelling and being used as a giant litter box by a cat that acts more terrified of me b y the day. I'd hate to think what he'd do if I actually yelled when I see him doing his business outside the box.

I think I shared the boar scarer before but it's still cool

What i would do to own this

Date: 2011-07-22 01:49 am (UTC)Man, that sounds awful at work. I'm freezing there, personally. I know the guys in the shop are too hot, but it's cold in my office.

Date: 2011-07-22 02:05 am (UTC)it was awful but it was so awful it was hysterical. The walls were weeping like an icon of the holy mother
and you are just pathetically sad

Date: 2011-07-22 02:07 am (UTC)*SNICKER* I wondered if that was the imagery, believe me.
I know. But I don't feel bad, I was talking to a dealer in another state and she complained she wore a sweater to work, no matter what time of the year, because the A.C. worked too well, and the heater didn't work at all.
