Now that that horrible image is burned into your mind's eye, let me reiterate my icon. Summer Sucks. I just got done talking to my co-worker L. She's the type who thinks 70 is chilly and loves the heat and bicycling in it. Even SHE is bitching. She had a major bike tour last week in MI and couldn't train for it because it's too fing hot and humid. She regrets coming back from OR.

The soles of my feet are peeling off from the heat. OMG my hair. In fact I WANT to go to the Irish Festival tomorrow which is why I was talking to L. She wants to go in the morning. I do not so I might meet her there in the evening. I can not handle that heat all day. I might not go at all. It'll be a damn shame if I can't go. check out the artists Honestly I'd rather get there at 5 or 6 and stagger back to my car at midnight but then I wouldn't get home until 2 AM. L might stay in COlumbus but I can't afford to do that or I definitely would get there at 5 and stay.

I just realized i totally forgot to go exercise my arm. OMG, idiot.

Other than that the day was spent doing laundry and working to recapture lost story bits.

And just for the record, I f-ing HATE the heat. I'd trade it for more snow and cold in the winter, any day. You can always put more clothes on, but you can only take but so much off.

Is the light grey thing almost dead center on the rocks about a quarter inch (on a laptop screen) up from the water a seal? If so, *waves* hi, seal! (I love pinnipeds - all marine mammals, really.) Nice picture, seal or not.

I used to live in Florida or as I like to call it, Hell.

I think it might be a seal. it's hard to tell as the camera was dying, telescopic lens first. it needed batteries. sigh

Yeah, I've been to Florida twice, once to Tampa in May, and once to Orlando in October, and neither of those were really the hottest time of the year, and it was still pretty damn hot and humid. I will admit, Florida has us beat for that misery. At least here we get some relief, and we do get occasional snow, even if it isn't enough to suit my snowbunny tendencies.

I like it pretty warm, but it's muggy and hot now because it's the monsoon season.

Ugh. Having the skin peel off the soles of your feet sounds excruciating.
