I feel better. Got together with my friends. If I leave this school, I will miss them terribly. They are good people and I enjoy talking to them. It is not many places you work at and actually look forward to hanging out with coworkers afterward. This place would be otherwise unbearable.

I'm cautiously optomistic that this batch of students will be good ones.

You would never know Irene is slamming the hell out of this country here today. It was gorgeous. I hope everyone is safe. I have a lot of family, not to mention friends, in the middle of all that craziness.

I am overwhelmed by fanfic. I have three stories written for me that I need to read, two at fma_slashfest and one at fma_ladyfest. Have you SEEN the ladyfest? You know I love my boys but I am actually proud of the fandom for this amazing turn out. I need to get off my ass and get my springkink's done not to mention my help whoevers.

Have you signed up for fmabigbang? Ed winry fans, did you see the new fire and Ice challenge?

BTW I found the spare table in the secretary's office is the only one that's the right height to do the exercise I'm meant to do every 2 hours. Great I can look like a freak in front of everyone.

And there were three spiders in my bathroom. I saw the one in the shower before i got in and killed her. THen while waiting on the conditioner in my hair, I look up and see a HUGE one that has a web that spans the whole fucking ceiling. I'm like racing thru the shower to get out before she falls on me. I kill her THEN see one above my toothbrust. OMG. WHY





I want this set AND that dish cabinet in the corner. Also I love the valence

I will probably gone for who knows how long - it seems a foregone conclusion we will lose power for a fairly good interval. I am about 40 miles from Norfolk, and 30 mi. from the coast, so no matter how you slice it, we're gonna get slammed. See you on the other side! *waves*

The fma_ladyfest this round indeed had a great turnout. I need to make myself have some time to read most/all of those. Haha now I'm waiting for my story and see which prompt she chose. Ack, I still need to do my help_japan fic and springkink fic too. ;_;

Signed up for Big Bang a while back and making slow progress on it. Also, I did see the EdWin Fire/Ice Challenge but didn't sign up since I don't think I'll have time to do it. Maybe next time!

I would sign up for some of these, but I fear I wouldn't finish any of them in time. I want to use nano to write out the big fma-fic I've kind of been putting off, so I will get a lot of writing done regardless, hopefully

I live about 5 miles from the delaware river in southern new jersey, my backyard becomes a marsh at the slightest bit of rain and I live in the middle of a forest, so here's hoping none of the trees or branches decide to 'lol oops' and then there goes my entire house and car. I can hunker down in my basement if things get too bad though, and all my college stuff that's packed away is going down there too just in case. why couldn't move-in have been like, last weekend instead of the 5th? I could dig being locked down in hurricane weather in a solid brick building, but a mostly wooden old house? not so much haha

I think those are Klismos style chairs, AND THAT IRON MAIDEN LOOKING CABINET IS COOL AS HELL!!! sorry for the caps, but that thing is seriously unique! If you're industrious, I can tell you how to make that valence.

ETA: the tableware is also AWESOME. And it's awesome you like the people you work with. Makes working there much easier and healthier for you.

Yeah, the weather here was great, too. Breezy, puffy little clouds, no rain. Could have done without the 96-degree temperature, but that's the price we pay for a sunny day.

I wouldn't worry as much about the spiders per se as what they are eating to get so big. I wonder that about the giant frog in my backyard pond(s)--if she's that enormous (her head is the size of my fist, and she has eyes like marbles), there must be _all kinds_ of things living in my ponds that I don't even want to know about. Web all across the ceiling sounds nasty.

hahaha, they creep me out. too many legs. I don't like insects much either but a childhood incident with a garden spider has left a lifelong scar (in other words, dont' taunt garden spiders)
