still on the plateau. whee. still having issues exercising my arm. It's like my supraspinatus refuses to take over its work. I think it's been like this for a very very long time and the deltoid just keeps getting strained as a result.

I promised a recipe today so here we are.

Balsamic Grilled Vegetables

1/3 cup balsamic vinegar
3 tbs olive oil
1 tbs fresh basil
2 cloves minced garlic
2 red sweet peppers stemmed, seeded and quartered
1 fennel bulb stemmed and cut into ¼ inch thick segments
6 large button mushrooms
2 med. Japanese eggplants trimmed and cut lengthwise into ½ inch thick planks
2 zucchini cut diagonally into ½ inch thick slices
8 ounce fresh asparagus trimmed

1. For marinade, in a bowl whisk together vinegar, oil, garlic, snipped basil, ¼ tsp salt 1/8 tsp black pepper. In a separate bowl drizzle marinade over the prepared veggies, reserving any marinade that’s left.
2. Either prepare grill or turn over to 400 to roast on a pan instead of grilling. Grill/roast until done, turning once (for pepper, fennel and mushrooms allow 8-10 minutes, for eggplant and zucchini allow 5-7 min, for asparagus allow 4-5 minutes on the grill, in the oven you can pretty much put them in all at once on a large tray for about 5-10 minutes)
3. Arrange on platter and drizzle over any remaining marinade.

I met my new neighbors. She looked friendly enough. He did too. they have a little girl. And the neighbors next to them have had a sectional sofa on the back porch for a week. I think I'm going to go complain.

Speaking of complaining, I opened my work email to send something I had be working on to coworkers and my inbox was weeping. Apparently HAPS, the organization I belong to and go to the conferences with created a list serve much like yahoo or google groups and apparently I'm one of the few who knows that there is not 'reply all' on these, everyone gets it no matter what. People were shrieking quit hitting reply all, cancel my membership and otherwise acting like immature morons instead of going to the HAPS organizers off list and just complaining. there were over 200 messages. HAPS did disable the list. I need to email them myself and suggest. a) ask use FIRST if we want to be on a list serve b) offer up a digest form since that's the only way i would want on it. head desk.

other than that, today was boring, mostly work and cleaning house. it didn't rain enough.

I did get some writing done. The big bang is already 1400 words long and it's all just set up stuff with Ed being well Ed....sheesh

You're very welcome. There isn't a lot of fandom, mind you; and most of it is Doc/Wyatt slash. I think there's a small batch of it over at FFN. I haven't really gone looking for Tombstone fic, mind. :D I just decided to start writing it.
