I still don't know what to do about my big bang. I do know I would rather have one story done vs the other but with the new quicker deadline, I'm not sure I can pull it off and pull it off well, especially with nano coming up (and no I won't do fanfic for nano. That's for my original stuff). waah


Has anyone else seen the dubbed Black Butler anime? It's better acted than I was expecting. I'm not sure how well the accents are being handled. I'm actually enjoying it. I did hear the Japanese VA's online with this.

I'm still annoyed at netflix though (and right after I was so happy with them). I don't buy their letter from the CEO and I just don't grasp how providing dvds and streaming holds them back from keeping abreast of new technology nor do I understand why they suddenly can not do both dvds and streaming from the same company. I DO know I resent having to reform my queue all over again and what the hell kind of name is quiwkster?

yes seriously. so since i can't stream i have to transfer everything over to that company. i am not pleased. I think EVERYONE is not pleased. I think this idiot has sealed his own company's early demise and that makes me sad because I LIKE netflix. it's inexpensive (compared to going to redbox) it has anime (redbox does not) and I've already lost one company I loved this year

yes but I have good ideas for both of them so that didn't help

as well it should. I mean find, I'll do quiwksster but now i have to call them, find out if they can transfer my fucking queue and how much will the dvd o nly thing cost THEN cancel the existing netflix subscription

I watched the first season of Black Butler and had enjoyed it.

Netflix: Yeaaaah, I don't get it either. It's not like Redbox does that. They just have the DVDs. I guess even they are feeling the pinch from Redbox buys. Dunno.

Qwikster sounds like someone from the Flash's rogues' gallery (Silver Age version). Or the Nestle Qwik bunny revisioned as somebody's nemesis (Sonny the Cuckoo Bird's?). Maybe it's all part of the DC reboot ...

they should've called it Flixter, at least it's got the FLIX part of their company name in there...

I saw Black Butler... Had NO idea that Sebastian and Scar have the same voice actor, and those accents threw me for a loop. Without the accent, I might've picked up that the Havoc looking guy... Bard? I think that's his name.. Anyway, he's got the same voice actor as Hei. (I like to guess the voice actors can you tell? XD) Ling's VA is in there somewhere too, And I did manage to get Chuck Huber and John Swasey's characters right, but I had a hard time guessing with that series because of that british twist.

RAMBLING SORRY!! I heard season 2 is getting a dub, so I will wait to watch that one until then. I saw the first episode subbed and wanted to strangle the kid on the screen.

ETA: I thought they did a great job with the dubbing and can't wait to hear the next season. I didn't think I'd like it because of Ciel, but I was wrong. One of my favorites!

I pay no mind at all to VA's so I had no idea. But no, I would never have guessed Sebastian is Scar. about the only one I can pickout in any anime is Vic because he's so bad at doing other voices, all his characters sound the same.

Yeah I'm actually not that fond of Ciel (in spite of him being a tortured boy which is my trope) but i do like Sebastian and oddly enough, Soma

I actually haven't read the manga. And I found myself fond of Lau and Ran Mao (I guess because they remind me of Ling and Lan Fan, except Lau's an opium dealer which is MEGA HAWT) All I can say about season 2 is there's another kid, another butler, and this kid is CRUEL.

I like Vic as a person and because he's a good actor (like, thespian-ly speaking), but you're right about his range of voices. Although I didn't know he did Zero from Vampire Knight until I saw the credits.

Zero was one of his better attempts yes. Don't care for VK but yeah, he was harder to tell there.

I'm not sure what kind of trouble you're having with Netflix.

I turned off streaming and went to DVD-only without any troubles--my queue did not change (nor did I have to re-form it), and the price went down (my only gripe was I had to drop from 4 DVDs to 2 at a time). I haven't had a moment of trouble, I didn't have to transfer anything, I don't even know what "quiwkster" is. ????

You didn't get the CEO's letter? There will be no more dvd's via netflix. You have to transfer to the new company quiwkster and netflix will be streaming only. if you want both you have to pay for both subscriptions. I have no idea how soon we have to make this transfer. All I know is everyone is unhappy

it came to my email on monday. Other than tha I can't tell you but I'm done with my black butler dvd so I guess I'll call tomorrow and say hey, what now? Is this immediate? Is this 6 months from now what?
