So Mom calls me this morning

cornerofmadnesswhile I'm getting ready for work and says 'Guess where I am?' I'm thinking Aunt S1 has died so I say 'on your way home.' No, I'm sitting on the beach. I went for a walk (In other words she's escaped the family and is proud of herself) She also added something that sounded a lot like neener neener to that statement.
She called back tonight and Aunt S1 IS in the hospital. She will only leave this time to go to the funeral home unless there is a miracle. We knew this. Her daughter drove up last night. BUT this daughter waited until her mom went into the hospital yesterday to do it even though MY mom told her that Aunt S1 was fading. Instead she played hostess to my parents and my aunt and uncle because well, having fun is more important. Aunt S1's daughter is the prejudiced bitch I don't like and if that wasn't selfish enough instead of flying up (she flies for FREE on standby) she waits all day and makes her husband drive her up after he worked all day (she won't drive, she can but she won't) and it's a 12 hour drive.
Mom will take this hard, of course. Aunt S1 is younger than her. Aunt S2, S1's identical twin, may not survive much longer either. Not because she has the same problem (though she has a bad heart), she's just not going to be able to deal with this. To make it worse, their elderly mother has some form of dementia, not advanced but enough and she is hard to deal with. Worse yet, prejudiced daughter to Aunt S2 that she wished SHE were the one dying and not her twin because she's worthless (she has always been cruel to S2). Her mother pretty much said the same thing. No surprised prejudiced daughter is just like her bitch grandmother. Well for that matter MY grandmother told my mom the same thing when Mom's sister died.
With my luck she'll die while I'm away this weekend. I'm going to Cincinatti to go to the Renn Fest and to Spring Grove cemetery. Here's hoping the new camera's batteries last. I've always had cameras with replacable batteries not charging kind. The hotel was 4 dollars more thant it was on expedia which is worth the price of NOT dealing with expedia (in my experience it's the same price if not cheaper if you call the hotel direct and say i saw it on expedia...) the guy was like you want a confirmation #? yeah since you told me my address was too hard to spell and you didn't actually enter it into your computer
