I went to the renn fest though, I think maybe I need to start going every other year. I have the way there memorized. I've memorized the lay out and the vendors. I've memorized the shows. I've bought most everything I can afford and want. It's actually a very nice renn fest and inexpensive to get in (under 20$). The vendors are relatively inexpensive but getting pricier well what isn't?

I did catch the mudd show, dirk & guido: swordsmen and some of the joust. I am thrilled more steampunk is showing up but that IS the pricey stuff. i am not shelling out 150 for a hat then again hats are in right now and even at marshalls they are 70$ unadorned since i contemplating them to upgrade into steampunk..

I did run astray of a couple fantasy authors and bought a book. They tried talking me into both books to get the full story but i don't do that. Here's hoping it's good. I did see the King's Nuts was selling freshly dipped caramel apples. I had to have one. Huge mistake. Between my inability to digest apples and the sheer amount of caramel, I was a bit queasy. It was however delicious, all buttery caramel but since it was SO freaking hot it wouldn't set on the apple so i had a cake plate filled with caramel. Should I mention that I forgot my insulin? yeah.

I did get my henna tatt which i think will come out nice. I did get some sad news, my favorite artists (evil_little_dog and silvrethorn have pieces from him now too), is retiring. I saw the sign and asked 'will you be back without him or is this it?' It was all i needed to know. ijust bought my christmas gifts to me. I could have bought more but where would i put it/how would I carry it. Two ladies behind me heard me telling his family I would miss his work and they said wait what? I said he's retired and they said that changes everything. I ended up passing on a piece of amber i wanted to buy this stuff.

I made it to the hotel. occurs to me that I can't swim (I did remember the suit) because of the tat but i'm exhausted any how. The la Quinta is pretty nice. I did check to bedbug trails naturally. I found a barbaque joint. we don't have any where i'm at. This was good. I got overheated. i could have gone to sleep at 7 pm.

Tomorrow i hit the cemetery and head home. here's hoping the cats dont destroy everything I own and then crap on it.

ETA- how could i have forgotten the funniest part of getting into the hotel. There were NO rest stops so I had to go in in my gown. Well right ahead of me were three nuns in full regalia. The hotel staff probably thought there was a party somewhere.

NOOOO, not the sculptor! I love his work! I'm so glad I have the pieces you gave me of his. Green Man and Gaia stare at me from opposite sides of the living room, and the Moon Goddess hangs out in the bath, with the rest of the Celestial stuff.
