It's just not really used to tobacco or at least all of it. There are freaking hogs in this barn. I could smell them instantly. THis year they got community service/ prison help to set up an IMMENSE corn/bamboo/plastic/cloth maze inside of this barn. I'm going to get to pop out and scare but more importantly I will be a safety since one spark in here could kill us all.
The place reeked. There are old stalls for animals which smell like they haven't been mucked. At one point I felt something staring at me and I turn around to see a Suffolk sheep about to eat my shirt (every damn time...) We tried to get the donkey to bray on tape but he was having none of that. There is a large watering basin that will be were L is scaring people. She gets to be a character. I'm just going to be a mad woman loose in the corn.
I'm also going to be frozen. It's gonna snow potentially. I have to wear a costume that I make that fits the mad woman/american gothic theme. I do not have a black skirt that is long enough (and yes I'll have my jogging pants under it.) sigh. I'm going to tease my hair up. Bellatrix will have nothing on me. Oh and cows wandered in to look at us too. And Dracula swooped my head. I've never seen a barn bat that big. He was a monster. He'll be great once the show starts on thursday.
On non-haunted barn news, i hate DIsh/Direct tv and their satellite policy. I asked my secretary to ask her husband (who works for one of them) WHY they leave the goddam dishs just sitting there? Whenever they update a satellite reciever they pour another cement pad and put it up and LEAVE the old one. pretty soon this apt will be nothing but dishs. What an eyesore. What environmental irresponsibility. My queendom for cable.
Also, i have NO idea how those women dance in high heels on DWTS. my god. Even if I could do those dance moves, the moment you introduce high heels, I'd be in the ER.
I didn't see this in time to participate but I thought I would post it for my writer friends, doing a pitch (for an agent. I do see these chances to get myself in front of an agent from time to time but missed this one). Agent Shopping and do click on their 'agent shop' link to find out all the rules for next time (needs to figure out how to get this into my feed in case i don't see it on twitter fast enough).
And for the original fiction filter, I really could use a little help with the last post.
Soul had the runs all over my carpet this morning. nice thing to wake up too. He's only had two accidents since he finally started using the book after his week under the porch. Both times the box was trashed so maybe it was too dirty for him or he was just too ill but ugh loose stool all over the carpet and then I had to clean the box too (less than 12 hours after the last time)

I think even without the light effects, this one will intrigue my cemetery art loving flisters. It can't make out what it wants to be. Usually the tree ones are just that, very rustic and woodsy. They're just trees. This one has a woman on the top (not sure if she had special meaning) and what looked to be a saint on the side with bible verses tucked in.

closer up but the bright light freaking out the camera almost obscures his face.

a better close up. (still with weird light effects) look at the detail work on his garments. I have no idea who it is though.

you can see there is more than one Fritz buried here. This one is a boy

The woman's side is less ornate. I couldn't get around to the other side with the bush but it wouldn't have been as ornate as over charles

Date: 2011-10-25 02:33 am (UTC)Sheep will eat anything. Ewwww for a non-mucked barn, but yay for a maze. Have fun with that.

Date: 2011-10-25 02:25 pm (UTC)Great. Why the hell am I going down there if it's gonna snow? Ugh.
"The place reeked."
Oh dear. Might get to scare the puke out of someone this time.
Weird monument. A tree usually is meant to signify a life cut short. So I guess a tree with the branches cut off would be a family cut off. Either way, that's an amazing statue.

Date: 2011-10-25 06:44 pm (UTC)That would be fun
True (though this is one of the first times I've seen anyone considerably young to have a tree monument, personally) isn't it though? amazing stuff.

Date: 2011-10-25 09:20 pm (UTC)Stinky barn, snow--better you than me, sister. I would turn into an icicle and die.
Cat diarrhea vs. cat vomit. Hmm... I think diarrhea is worse, and yes, I've cleaned up both in the past. Chablis is a healthy cat and hasn't gifted us with either mess, yet, but I'm sure she will eventually. One of our past cats was a chronic vomiter. That was fun.

Date: 2011-10-26 02:03 am (UTC)you can add fleas to this.
no wonder your dad wasn't thrilled by the idea.

Date: 2011-10-26 02:18 am (UTC)The vomiting cat was a long time ago, and fortunately Sweet Pea was the only cat I've ever met that was that consistent about upchucking almost every meal she ever ate.
