I did a lot of house work crap today including going thru the daisy wheeled cupboard in the kitchen and finally cataloged the crap I have in there. Let's just say I'm set for peanut butter. I also found things that were 5 years old. EEEK. I need to stop buying stuff and not using it. WIth my new list of crap in the cupboard I'm planning meals to clean it all out (so I can you know hoard fresh stuff for the winter)

I ripped the dead tomatoes out of their pots and shoved them against the house so it looks less junkky. The Halloween stuff is inside. Is wondering if that blue pumpkin is edible.

I got the book I won in the platform building challenge. It's romance. Whee. so not my genre but my aunt will love it. I'll give it a try since I'm assuming the author is part of the challenge.

Wrote a lot. I feel the petering out coming soon but right now I'm still rolling. I don't really like this chapter. I need help with it but that can wait.

Snippet of the day

A metallic pumping noise killed the conversation and all eyes gravitated to Sverre who stood there, his stolen shotgun trained on Drake. The soldier froze staring the Yaarian down.

“Sverre, are you trying to get us all killed?” Eetu’s voice squeaked tightly.

“Brother.” Paivi fumbled her way into a sitting position. Her color faded further when she saw Drake. “Oh…it’s you.”

”Put the gun down,” Charis said, stepping between Drake and Sverre. Her own gun looked huge to Archana.

Drake motioned for his people to lower their weapons. Archana stood up, close enough to touch the barrel of Sverre's gun. “Sverre, you’re so pale, I’m not sure how you’re standing but you need to stop whatever it is you think you’re going to do.”

I saw NaNo icons somewhere, a whole page of them. There was a link to click on, but I don't know where the link was. The icons are there on the site somewhere, though.

I had my NaNo burnout today--I only added 1,000 words. Of course, I was also watching horse racing all day, which killed my concentration (Dullahan failed me this time, alas). My Municipal Liaison is kicking both our butts in word count. She's over 16,000 words. The woman obviously has no life.

You're really going to be fun when you turn up on "Hoarders." Food hoarders are almost as entertaining as animal hoarders.

Why is the pumpkin blue? Is that its natural color, or is it mold?

last year I bought one, was going to make something with it, set it on the magazine with the recipe, 4 days later I woke up to a stench and pumpkin juice all over my kitchen floor and the book was ruined

You have to proof tomato seeds, I guess, though we usually have volunteers come up that grow like crazy. The one growing on the concrete slab of Mom's driveway has fruited, finally, after offering all sorts of flowers.

I have found some well aged things in my storage cupboards D: and salad dressings... I always seem to have a ton of salad dressing bottles that have gone well past their BBF date. I mean to eat more salads... I really do.
