the nagging occasional cough is still hanging on. I managed to get to the grocery store and the pharmacy (where the pharm tech knew me by sight. How pathetic is that?) but that exhausted me so i did nothing much else.

It took me until tonight to get the nano novel moving but it is flying now. yay. TOmorrow is test day so I have a free hour there to work. whee.

I got this from [livejournal.com profile] gsd_rtfn Photobucket

For taking a day off to celebrate my novella.

Snippet for the day: it costs you nothing to be nice or at least keep your mean mouth shut.” Paivi drew her foot back as if to kick him again.

“I'm trying to keep my mouth shut but she keeps talking to me,” he protested weakly, knowing he was wrong. Sverre sighed. “Sorry,” he muttered.

“So am I. You obviously don't want to talk about it and I shouldn't have pushed. I apologize. It's my nature. People really only talk to me when they want to confess things or ask for something. I'm not sure how conversations are supposed to go.” Archana's skin deepened in color, her shoulders hunching. “And the colonel isn't really my friend. He has visited me in the temple often, that's true but that is all. I've had more personal conversations with you than I have with him.” She glanced across the aisle and Sverre knew she wanted to change that. For some reason that annoyed him.
