I should have come home today since I have a test to write but two of my friends organized a literature round table on 'truth in literature' (mostly with the hopes STUDENTS would attend). I went. I miss discussing books. I was naturally the only scientist there but the dean dropped in and saw me so yay. Makes me look good for tenure but now I'm so behind for tomorrow's test.

Also I find it funny that we had 6 English profs there and I am the only one who writes fictions. Three write critical works and the other 3 are poets.

the nano group I belong to (not hte one I so-called run) is having a challenge for best book blurb. I need to write one up for my nano.

ANd I feel awful. My stomach is terribly nauseated.

not sure I'll rejoin fma_slashfest this year. I have to get big bang done, other projects, and i only like 2 pairings (well four if you consider Roy/Kimbley dub con and Gracia/Riza but i only like that really in the context of the foursome) might have to give it a pass since it's up against too many others. oh well.

Slashfest prompts start being collected in January, and the fills go up in April (Big Bang is due in February). So it's possible people will have more time than they're thinking to participate. Or so I'm hoping.

at the slashfest? I don't recall seeing very many written, and there weren't any in ladyfest this year. I'm not criticizing because I haven't written it either, I just find it mildly surprising.

There were several requests for sure. I must have misunderstood your statement. There were very few fills in general compared to the prompt list (both male and female), but there were at least a few femme fills in the mix with lots of unanswered prompts still open for grabbing.

yeah you're right. I don't read a lot of non-canon pairings so I tend to forget about them
