I way over slept

like until 1030 but I didn't go to bed until 2 and was awaken at 6 with sounds of mice again but only once briefly (could have been imaginary). I have no idea why I wasn't tired last night I was up for 22 straight hours.

Today however was productive. I finished all my lectures for unit one in both classes (I still have to finish the student versions), got the syllabi done, got the photos for my tenure portfolio done, got the huge amount of cardboard/paper recycling out to the car, took down the Christmas lights (one neighbor apparently took objection to the half assed way I put them up and TAPED them into place), finished stripping out all the old records and wrote at least 1000 words on FMA bigbang.

I think I need to find someone to challenge to word wars to get this big bang moving

I did let the cats in the bedroom today. If they saw anything like a mouse, they were unimpressed.

Speaking of unimpressed WHY is it's 60 degrees? I put my winter icon up. I'm tired of this crap. I want some snow!

I slept until 11, which was 3 hours later than I planned. Thanks to that--and last-minute changes by an annoying corporate exec--I was at work until 10 tonight. Sigh. :/

But I also got a lot done, at least at work.

What is it with the winter this year? Over here we have 10°C, that's 50F. That's ridiculous. I bought skis last winter. I've given up hope of getting to use them this year.

Even weirder, I hear similar stories from friends in the American midwest which I always thought gets extremely chilly in the winter.
