Whee, I've won some more awards. These ones were from the Fractured Fairytale awards. The Box of Crayons series won for best series and if you haven't read what Chris and I have for that, head on over with a box of tissues (no plaque for this one. They had the wrong names on it).

Interlude of Fireworks - Twister won for best humor. Who knew that little one-off I did in an hour would be so popular. That's the one set in Italy with the gang playing Twister.

The Games of Childhood won for the best child-centered one in that age bracket (I forget what that is) This is the Steven/Holtz learning how to track story.

And Hyperion's Son won best wip. We all know this one, the heroin-addicted Connor future fic. As I was saying on one of my lists, I think I'll have to retire this one. It's 300 pages long right now and it's got a ways to go. I wouldnt' feel right entering it any more unless in a category meant for novel-length stories.

Aren't they lovely? The smirk on ANgel's face on the childhood award is killing me.

And in the last few days I cleaned up two very short stories,

Mourning Grey which is Angel pov soon after Not Fade Away and More Fun than a Rubber Duck the Willow/Spike/Angel in a tub fic.

On a different note, I can not shake this queasiness. It's beginning to annoy me. Ditto with insanely dry skin on my hands (something that's never really happened before to THIS extent even with the powdered, latex gloves) Ever skin line on my fingers are cracked open and bleeding making typing a joy.

Grats on the awards and ouch on the hands. You might see if you can find some Corn Huskers lotion or some Bag Balm. The few times I've had that happen it helped somewhat. You are probably already doing (and know) this but drinking lots of water might help too.

Thanks.

I need to get some gloves so I can really put the medicinal cream on them. I left my bag balm in WI. I like udder cream too worked wonders when I was doing water aerobics 4 days a week, not a sign of dry skin from chlorine.

Congrats on all the awards, hon!
Winter is making hands not so pleasant, even around here. So moisturize like mad.

Thanks.

Yeah I'm thinking after 3 years in the subtropics my hands are NOT happy to be back in a heated by gas environment
