What the Hell Day Four

After a frustrating day at work (those BP cuffs I found? NEVER been out of the box. I had to put it all together but they were good), I meet with a student who missed all week with throat infections so bad she was hospitalized then I go off to my doctor.

Nothing much there, just a follow up visit. I missed the apt she wanted to follow up on and I told her the migraine meds were a bust, talked a few things out. She did the routinue check (I'll give her that. she's thorough), looked in my nose, ears, throat, the normal stuff)

I'm not ten minutes down the highway when my head stuffs up and shit starts dripping down the back of my throat. The sore throat morphs into chills and nausea but those fade fast (well not the nausea but I'm always nauseous so who can tell) and the head just drained as swiftly as it stuffed up. I have NO idea... I AM NOT GETTING SICK. My tenure interview is in four days. You hear me body???

I'm very torn I would like to so cya_ficathon and the dark fic thing seta_suzume posted but I have THREE help whomever stories to finish. I feel like a complete and total ass about it. I'm not kidding. I really do. I have no idea WHAT the problem is. Back in my Buffy days I wrote to other people's directions ALL THE TIME. Why can't I do it any more? And this is why I hesitate about CYA. At least with things like Springkink I can pick the prompts that I want. But I have to finish those help stories. I HAVE to.

Of the 'write to specifications' type ficathons, CYA is probably one of the less strenuous, since theoretically the prompts would be written based on what you are interested in writing -- at least, that's how I remember it working.

I'm glad the cuffs worked. Something good, at least.
