This morning's dream was weird. I was married to Howard Wolowitz (sigh) and we were at this spa. It was a very nice place. It had a tea house that I loved. I was at high tea when he brought his mother for me to look at. He was worried about her leg. She had a knee replacement not so long ago and it was bothering her. She had just come back from the doctor but Howard was worried.

He wheels over this fat older lady in a muumuu and I see this brown stuff on her knee. I thought for a moment she had dropped from of the chocolate whipped cream from the tea pastries on her leg then when I examined her, I saw that it was chocolate pus and for a moment I couldn't understand why it would be on her knee (it's usually seen in amebic liver infections). As I move her leg more of the wound gaps open and I can see the metal prosthesis. The only thing holding her leg together is the eschar of dry gangrene running down the lateral side.

I tell her we need to go to the ER right away and she yells at me for creating a fuss. She just came from her doctor and what did a shiksa (sp?) like myself know about it?

I start arguing with Howard about it, explaining that at the very best the prosthesis had to come out and maybe just maybe time in a hyperbaric oxgen chamber would save the leg but most likely we were looking at an above knee amputation. In the middle of the argument I'm no longer married to Howard but rather Seely Booth (so I go from tiny and skinny to tall and broad??). I do manage to convince him his mother has to be taken to the hospital and that he should be getting a lawyer to see her doctor since no one could possibly miss this.
