cornerofmadnessmade me ride 7 miles today much of it on the heavy duty setting (then backed down, he probably thought I was going to die) Maybe I shouldn't have been so hard on him last semester when HE was the student and I the teacher. HA. At least recumbent bikes are easy to ride. dull as dirt but easy.
my shoulder is acting up. Don't know why. Just to annoy me I believe.
I'm having troubles editing my big bang. Mostly because I don't wanna. I'm MORE concerned about failing to meet the deadlines for the 2 anthologies I was interested in because seriously i have jack.
Speaking of deadlines, one thing that ANNOYS me to no end are Mods who do not answer questions especially in a highly active commm. sigh.
I rarely get political because well i loathe politics more than just about anything on this planet but this annoyed me, probably because I know Rick Santorum did some real crap in PA and dared them to vote him out (they did) and now there's this. Something to consider if you're a woman who, you know, wants any rights at all. He doesn't seem to like women who want a job (or those who want to love anyone they choose regardless of race) click here for article

Date: 2012-02-18 03:38 am (UTC)You think Santorum is bad (and he IS) you should check on what our lovely state legislature and governor and atty. general here in VA are shoving down our throats, without benefit of input or vote from the public -- they are trying to get passed a "personhood amendment" through the state legislature (which McDonnell will sign in a heartbeat) saying the tiniest fetus is a person -- Shall we all sing a chorus of "Every Sperm is Sacred?" If it passes it could make some forms of birth control flat out illegal, the way it's written. As if it's not bad enough that we are one of the states that will be the VERY last to approve gay marriage (they are trying to prosecute ministers who perform gay marriages now.) For the first time in my life, I am ashamed to be a Virginian. It's really sad.
If Santorum gets elected pres. I am really going to look into immigrating to Canada. I know my daughter and daughter-in-law will not stick around.

There are some surprising things going on for women's right in the US... It's kind of baffling sometimes.
