No more than 5 minutes after posting yesterday, I manage to ram my baby toe into the floor register. The conversation goes like this

Dana - OUCH!

Dad- What are you? An Idiot? that register's been there 40 years. How did you manage to run it over?

Dana - It leapt out and bit me. Mom help me fix my toe.

Mom - Quit being a drama queen it's fine.

Dana - It's BLEEDING.

Mom - Well don't get it on the rug.

Yep, they're a help. THe toe's broken and I fishmouthed the thing badly enough to need stitches. Luckily I still have liquid ones around so I fixed my toe and went to my friend's house.

We had a great time just sitting and talking and playing with her 5 year old who did NOT want "Aunt" Dana to leave. He kept sneaking out of bed to give us hugs and kisses and to watch the PItt/Utah game (embarrassing for PItt). He kept this up until I left at midnight. Shari got me a Wicked Tinker's cd and the director's cut of ANother Day in Paradise. It's still a lousy movie but now I think I'll be able to see more of nearly naked VK
