for what it's worth 4 weeks of exercise has resulted in zero weight loss. Color me not surprised. No recipes this week. too busy.

My back hurts. My couch is broken. I was on it most the day either grading or sorting through the ungodly piles of paper and misc debris that has piled up in the living room. Now my leg is numb and my hip/leg hurts. Thank you arthritic spurs, could you have dug deeper into my nerves. I didn't even get time for a long comforting soak and if I had, my arm would be the one hurting.

I didn't get my lecture done. While I got [livejournal.com profile] evil_little_dog's edits for my big bang put in, there is no way I'll get time to edit it all myself so the version that goes up at the site will not be the final version. Just not enough hours in the day especially since I have to get two proposals done at work and I'm running out of time on those too. It's frightening.

I did take time to look up 4 of the houses. Sadly the victorian was cheap because it's on the shit side of town and one of them was in an even worse section. It looks stranded in an abandon post-nuclear 1950's landscape. The houses on the road were kept up but it's just plain shabby.

The one in town wasn't that great but I found one just up the street that for in town living was cute as hell. I looked it up when I got home and sadly it has a pool which takes it to 150K, way out of my league and while I love pools, I'm not sure I want that responsibility/expense.

The last was too far out of town. I heard the dueling banjos. It also had a unibomber, washed out rut of a driveway up to it. I DID see another one that was practical perfect out there. It was nearer (in fact I swear it was a manufactured house), just 2 miles off I-32 and from 32, it was just 2 miles to town. However, when I looked that up it was at a mind blowing 200K+ It probably has tons of land. I didn't look. It didn't matter.

You know what will happen, the moment I buy something the perfect job will open up back home...

I have to do up character bios for my novella among other things. I hope to put them here for people to look over before i send it in.

I feel you're pain. I just walked all over NYC and now I am limping on my left leg. Thank you stenosis, arthritis and spondylitic. How do you get the numbness to go away in your leg?

*hugs you gently*

exercise. the number one cause of the pain is weak back muscles. I've been slacking on the exercise.

hope you're feeling a little better too

yeah exercise usually is.

I'm glad it's helping. unfortunately with a stenosis, there is little that can be done that isn't surgical.

I know but they are trying to push off surgery as long as they can because I am young.

yeah because they'lll likely have to repeat it but the PT should help minimize some of the symptoms

Ugh, stupid furniture, falling apart before we can afford to replace it!

Sorry about your arthritis acting up.

oh i can afford to replace it, the problem is the furniture places will not remove it because of 'health issues' yet they'll remove a gross mattress??? I have to get some neighbors to lug the shitty thing out for me since I can't do it.

thanks

Yeah, "health issues" doesn't make sense to me, either. :/

especially when you think about what happens on a bed vs a couch....

sorry about the back, hopefully the exercise will pay off long term or in other ways besides just weight loss.
