so very tired
Feb. 27th, 2012 10:18 pmNot sure why. I have been all day. I knew it was going to be tough going on the bike today when I noticed how slow my rpms were. I tried an elliptical for the first time today. OMG horrible pain. I couldn't do it. It felt like every step was jamming the femural head into the acetabulum. My poor hip. I'm not sure why that was so hideous for me.
THanks to
seta_suzume for the dragon. I do love my dragons.
I'm so freaking busy. Something has to break. Hopefully not my mind. I'm trying to edit more of the big bang and get the stuff ready for the publishers and I just saw my edits in the email. I was hoping that would hit at spring break. whimpers. I just checked. i have to have it done by the 6th so yeah, might have to shelve the final edit of the big bang and run with the once-thru version.
I should have included this writing prompt yesterday. It's from figment and sounded fun Keep your ears perked in the next few days, and when you overhear someone say something interesting-whether that person is a family member in the next room, one of your neighbors talking to another, or a stranger on her cell phone-make that the starting line of a scene. Hint: Conversations tend to be juicier when people are in disagreement, though they don't have to be flat-out fighting.
ETA_ CRAP! I forgot to record Castle

Date: 2012-02-28 04:42 pm (UTC)Your posts about your health always remind me of a line from Memoirs of Hadrian, an incredible book written by one of the most talented French author of the 20th century. I found the translation on the Internet. The Roman emperor is very ill and reflects on his body as his doctor rages and vents.
"This morning it occurred to me for the first time that my body, my faithful companion and friend, truer and better known to me than my own soul, may be after all only a sly beast who will end by devouring his master. But enough. ... I like my body; it has served me well, and in every way, and I do not begrudge it the care it now needs."
I realize it might sound creepy or offensive but this is not my intend. I just think it conveys so very well our relationship with our body. We strain it and use it and it does a fantastic job in its resilience. The strength of the human body is astounishing. But it sometimes seem to fight us all of a sudden and then nothing we can do seems to be enough. And I imagine it would feel frustrating and a tiny bit like betrayal...
Now, I'm done with my digression... sorry about that :p But anyway, your efforts are admirable and I wish you good luck. Have you tried kinder sports?
Also for Castle, you can find links on Couch Tuner. Just google it...
