the day started with such promise

then began to slide. I popped up, got the laundry in the car, got the grocery bags and coupons and the coordinates to look at more houses, sort of proud of myself to get up and going so soon. Halfway there I realize I forgot the camera. Okay, no biggie. I get to the laundromat and realize I forgot to bring the detergent. Sigh. Goes to big lots for some.

May I never have to go to the laundromat on a sunday again. This is 2 sundays in a row and apparently no one goes to church. they're all in the laundromat at 10AM. I see the houses, two aren't bad. I head for home with something new, blood orange sorbet (Kroger's brand). I rarely buy ice cream or sugary stuff like this but I figure in small quantities it won't be bad.

Then something happened that's never happened here. I was stuck in traffic for nearly an hour. There was a severe wreck, unfortunately. My blood sugar skittered sideways since I hadn't eaten. sigh.

I spent the rest of the day grading and just finished recently. Wow. took forever.

I have a problem. I think I see what caused Soul to be so bad last summer. It is what I thought it might be, Kanda picking on him. He jumped Soul in the litterbox today. I've never seen him do that. Soul jumped him later while he was eating. But unfortunately some time while I was gone, the battle didn't go well. Soul's foot is swollen and he's hopping around on three legs. If it persists, I'll take him to the vet but that is SO traumatic to him that I don't want to do it for just a sprain that'll get better in a day or two.

And to top it all off, I broke my tea kettle. Luckily I had a spare

Poor Soul. Maybe they need one of those giant hamster wheels on the wall to run around in like I saw on TV over Yule.

they need something. they need not to pick on each other. the one thing that would be nice about a house is the ability to separate them when i'm gone

This makes me so glad that I have a washer and dryer to do laundry in here. I remember having to use a laundromat and it can be so annoying.

Poor Soul. Maybe now they'll know you're watching for it and you can keep it under control... kind of. Okay maybe not.
