If you haven't seen the ads it's supposed to use neuroplasticity to improve brain function (which is not a bad thing, that's how it's supposed to work) I knew I had to pay for it (not gonna happen) but I took the free trial just to see. Let's face it. I feel like my mind is getting SO SLOW as I get older. I scored in the 95% on everything and over that in most of them. The only thing that I got an actual 95% was raindrops which had each rain drop with a math problem in it and you had to solve it before it hit the puddle. I can't divide any more.

I had two thoughts. 1) I'm not paying 14$/month if i'm already in the 95% range b) I'm in the top percentile??? Either I'm way smarter than I think I am or people are way stupider (which would explain my students)

Ran to Jackson because I didn't feel like cooking, had a gift card to LaRosa's pizza I forgot to use when mom was here and I wanted to get the Illustrated Man from the library. I couldn't figure out the difference between the 4 veggie pizza (green olives, mushrooms, spinach and tomatoes with their red sauce) and the florentine foccaccia (same veggies but supposedly a garlic/butter sauce according to the webside) because every time I've gotten the florentine it had red sauce so when I call it up (it's a chain with a 1800 number) I ask and tell them it's always red sauce. Operator - that is NOT right. Well you tell them that when you place the order. He must have since it was right.

And what is up with the Wal-mart bathroom (Yes I was desperate). There was shit literally smeared all over the bottom of the bowl of one of them, like someone was finger painting all the way to the floor. And there was a bottle of shampoo in the sink.

ES sent me this. Lost snippet of Dr. Who It's cool.

Aieee! to the bathroom. The pizza sounds good, though.

You are smarter than everyone. Except maybe [livejournal.com profile] silvrethorn.

Well, then.

I had a Domino's pizza last week that was pretty yummy.

It IS true.

Walmart bathroom theory = homeless people, maybe drug users? (We had them in the library ALL the time. And yes, they sometimes did disgusting things.)

Fearing also for the rapidly declining state of my brain, I also looked at Luminosity, but I wasn't intrigued enough to give them my credit card number (especially given the number of times after those "free trial" things where I have ended up pissed off on a customer service line disputing some huge charge on my bill!) Instead I found some very similar FREE apps for my kindle, and just have been playing with those instead.

That crap smearing is all too common in public restrooms. I used to be a security guard at a union place -- these guys were making close to twenty bucks an hour back in the mid 80's, but I'd wave my way through a cloud of pot smoke, trip over empty vodka bottles, and find crap smeared all the way up the sides of the stalls. I've seen it in other places too, although not quite as bad ... I just don't get it.

COOL on the Luminosity! I'll have to take the trial (although I typically don't test well and am math impaired - What the hey, it could be fun)

and *clicks*

very cool. they used to be very good but as their own commercials say that was a long time ago. I don't like their redone sauce much (but then again when do I?)

I tend to lean toward "people are just that stupid." I KNOW I'm not smart because I befriend people like, well, YOU (and I live with Barb) -- and I still am the Einstein of all the "normal" people I know, including many of whom actually finished college.

yeah I lean toward that too.

and I wouldn't say you're not smart.

I rarely taste sauce unless I make the pizza myself or it's a really good pie. The toppings on the Domino's included pepperoni, bacon, spinach, mushrooms and black olives. Very tasty.

From: [identity profile] cornerofmadness.livejournal.com
and that's all i ever taste, no matter how much crap is on it.

but i would like those toppings. i like La Rosa since they offer GREEN olives which are a million times better than black.

To you, maybe. I like black olives on my pizza.

I don't mind them but green ones are a MILLION times better

There's just something off about some people ... something that can't be explained by so-called normality. Those people, of course, are the ones who get all the attention, so it seems like there are more of them than there are.
